What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
I'm baaaack! And I'm effing exhausted. LOL This last week has completely wiped me out. In addition to the funeral and everything that goes with it, my husband's car finally **** the bed on the way downstate and $800 later, it's still a POS. It would have been probably twice that amount anywhere else, but my uncle is a mechanic and he loves me. LOL I ate pizza and donuts and chips and drank A LOT and...well you get the picture. Sooo, I'm happy to be back into some kind of routine. Maybe. Ask me in a couple of hours how I'm doing. LOL
QOTD! What'd I miss?! It felt weird not to interact with you guys every day. You're my peeps! LOL
Time since surgery: almost 23 months. What the what?! How can it have been that long ago?
B: 2 HB eggs and a Cabot cheddar cheese snack bar
S: 1/2 of a chocolate peanut butter Premier Protein bar
L: Buffalo chicken salad and pork rinds
D: chicken piccata and roasted asparagus. Have I mentioned before how much I love chicken? As much as Grim loves steak. LOLOL
TOTALS: Cals: 873 Protein: 107 (woo!) Carbs: 26 (double woo!) Fat: 38
Have a great day! ETA: I wearing a skirt again today! LOL You'll have to take my word for it though, because I lost my phone... Black pencil skirt and a pink scoop neck.
Nobody loves anything as much as I love steak.
I also have had more than my share of donuts these last few weeks.
QOTD: What did you miss? I got paloozed this weekend. Actually I got paloozed half to death.

Hello and Happy Monday! For once I really mean that...the weekend was wonderful and I'm ready to take on this last full week of school :) Bring. It. On.
QOTD: Thanks to Facebook you may not have missed our Birthday Palooza on Martha's Vineyard :) It was a really nice get-away. We were total tourists in matching MV T shirts. Ha!
Eating on the Vineyard was kind of a disaster but we got lots of exercise and I managed to only gain a pound. I'm sure I can work that sucker off in a few days...

QOTD: Ummm what did you miss, just a lot of the same ol same ol....I think. Unless I am forgetting something. HAHAHA We missed you though, I am glad you are back!!!
I have been looking into the "If It Fit Your Macros" site, I know there are some here that use this for their calories/macros. I want to think it will work out for me, and maybe it will help me get past the whole must drink shakes all day mentality I have been in lately. But the calories seem so high, and the carbs etc. So I dont even know what I am trying to say here....does anyone use the IIFYM's way of eating to lose weight or maintain??
Here is the info that IIFYM gave me when I filled out the free calculator for fat loss (so losing weight): Cals: 1318, Protein: 37% (121g), Fat: 36% (53g), Carbs: 27% (90g).
Am I not eating enough....and I too restrictive and this is causing me to "binge" on weekends?? How many calories SHOULD I be getting in etc etc....so many questions...no answers. My NUT is NO HELP here as I just get the EAT MORE crap all the time with no real way other than "peanut butter and avocados" .
14+ months since surgery
M1: 4oz 2% milk, 1 scoop Syntrax milk chocolate w/ lots of ice
M2: Dannon L&F Greek yogurt w/ 30g slivered almonds
M3: Honey BBQ tuna pouch, celery sticks w/ 2 LC light wedges
M4: (1) Light string cheese, 30g turkey pepperoni
M5: 4oz Fairlife skim milk, 1 scoop Syntrax milk chocolate w/ lots of ice
Totals: Cals: 885 Protein: 109 Carbs: 38 Fat: 33
I've read about IIFYM. It seems like a lot of calories (carbs), though, right? It might be worth a shot just to see if it prevents the weekend binges. Also? Your menu looks good today. Not as many shakes and more real food!
To me it seems high in carbs and calories, but my brain is also a really scary place when it comes to those things! LOL I feel like I can't trust my own judgement when it comes to these things. LOL
Yeah, chewing my food, meh...whatever...I will give it a try! HAHAHAH
You should be able to set your own macros. Lower the carbs, and increase the protein and fats.

Right, I CAN set my own macros. But I was hoping to find something that will work for me long term, through maintenance that maybe doesnt have me SO OBSESSED with staying really low carb. Pipe dream?? Probably.
Well actually probably just me being lazy, I want someone to be able to TELL ME....eat X amount of calories and X amount of fats/carbs etc to lose weight, and X amount to stay the same. The "just try it and see how it work" thing scares me!
