Low energy level

I am two weeks and a couple of days post-op, and I still have a pretty low energy level. I am trying to get in a lot of protein, and I'm walking most days, but I'm just wondering when I might get back to a regular energy level? By the way, I have also been back at work for a week, so I have the energy to do that,  but I just feel sluggish most of the time.

You had major surgery! It takes a while. Some feel pretty good at one month, for some it takes six.

Drink extra fluids, eat your protein, and relax.

What Grim Traveller said.

For me, it took me 3 months to get back to normal energy levels.

I am 4 weeks out today... I have noticed that I haven't taken a nap after work in a few days! Woo hoo! LOL

I'm still not 100%... I still tire easily, but honestly, each day is better...

If I could get that silly pulling pain on my left side to go away completely I'd be a much happier gal. Sometimes I don't feel it at all, but if I'm standing up for a long time it starts up again. Sigh.

We'll get there... sooner than later. Having patience has never been my forte

I have that strange pulling pain as well! I guess "no pain, no gain." Thanks for your response!

I felt a definite difference at 3 weeks, and then today at 4 weeks feel lots of energy. I'm able to cook dinner for my family, do laundry, do some light cleaning. I do still get tired more easily than before but feel loads better than I did at 2 weeks.

took me about 3 mths as well.  You are losing weight, have dramatically reduced your caloric intake and had a pretty involved surgery.  It makes perfect sense.  Walk as much as you can and relax and  gets lots of rest.

It took about 6-1/2 weeks for me to feel my energy return. You had major surgery and are adjusting to a different menu. Be patient, take naps, and take care of yourself. I took a nap every day after work for a month or so. You will get through it and then you will have more energy than ever as you lose weight and start to feel healthier.  Good luck.

It takes time, especially in the very beginning, it may last awhile and this is completely normal.  It may happen on and off later just FYI. Just happened to me the other day and I'm 11 months out
