Malabsorption of the vast majority of vitamins and fats is permanent, and a good percentage of protein. But malabsorption of simple carbs is still temporary, and it's easy to gain weight eating crappy carbs after a DS.

None of us got obese to begin with by eating fat and protein. It was always the crappy carbs that did most of our damage.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

True... Carbs are an issue no matter WHICH surgery one gets.  %*#?!  LOL
