What's on your Sunday menu, RNYers?
Happy Sunday Everyone!
QOTD: Our town and Nebraska in general are home to Runza restaurants, which serve runzas: pastry wrapped around meat, cabbage & onion sandwiches, originally made by German immigrants. They also serve the best hamburgers and onion rings.
Yesterday I ate: a protein shake, a weigh****cher's meal, a muscletech mission 1 protein bar, Mr. Cheese O's and an Atkin's snack bar. Today will probably be similar.
Exercise: Hoping to take the dogs for a walk if we can get out there before it gets too beastly hot outside.
Have a super great day!
~ Karen
Good morning! QOTD: Luckily, no doughnut places I know about, although there is an artisan bakery and a cheese shop that are tempting.
A bit cooler here today, so I can set up soaker hoses in the garden. I'm glad the thunderstorms passed us by, but we really need the rain.
B: chicken-asparagus soup with ham and 1 string cheese
L: ham with applesauce
D: more ham with applesauce unless I cook some chicken
S: sf jello, cantaloupe, chicken nibblers
Enjoy your Sunday!
One thing about Philly, we know how to eat. So yeah, there are a few places that people line up to get their goodies... Denise's Bakery, Stocks Bakery, a chocolate place (I forget the name).... Then there are the famous cheesesteak spots. Notice it's all carb based....no one is lining up for fruits and veggies. My sister was telling me about a donut place there yesterday...I wonder if it the same place.
I ate well yesterday but was low in protein. I've been to the gym, showered, dressed and will clean for a bit. My son has a piano recital today. He's playing 'Linus & Lucy' (peanuts theme song). He's struggled learning it- I hope he does ok.

Oh man the smell of meat, onions and peppers on a grill is enough to cause me to line up with the rest! Fortunately I live in a tiny town with no original food creations. The best we have is Mexican street corn and my husband turned me against it by questioning the cleanliness of the food trailer :(

That song is tough! I remember learning to play that back in the day and I may have had a couple of breakdowns complete with tears. LOL I hope it went well!
I live in NY so Bagels, Pizza, Cannoli... you can trip over a bagel place, pizza place or bakery...pretty much every shopping center has one...
I have been all over the place trying to figure out reflux/low BS and what to eat...and in other news up 5lbs on the scale in 3 days. As a daily weigher you have to mentally talk yourself off the ledge, because you know you didn't really gain 5lbs. Just need to calm down and go back to what I was doing.... and evaluate along the way. I had a nice long email exchange with Dr. Michaels (the best Plastic Surgeon ever!) and he was very level headed and gave me some insight and helped to calm my A** down! LOL. Great surgeon, great man.... onto my regularly scheduled program- Life!
B: Homemade latte coffee W/ fairlife milk, 10g protein(from unflavored) and miralax - Breakfast of Champions!!- drank it outside and got my daily dose of Vitamin D.
S: eggs over easy with cheese
S: Power crunch bar
L: Chicken egg drop soup
D: Bacon Cheeseburger, w/sandwich thin...maybe ...still thinking about this
S: PB on a spoon
Exercise- Cize dance video!

Yes that is the hard thing about weighing daily. The numbers sure can mess with your mind. So many things influence weight: sodium intake, amount of fluids you drink and how the bowels are working. I was up today too but know it's because I sweated a ton yesterday and probably didn't drink quite enough to make up for it. I'm glad you have such a great doctor who understands how our minds work!
