Cramp-like pain two weeks post op

I am two weeks post-op, (lap-band revision to RNY) and I'm having some cramp-like pain on the left side of my body. Sometimes it's just under my top left breast and other times it's in the abdomen. The pain under my breast feels almost like a catch, and the pain in my abdomen feels more achy and especially hurts when I walk. These pains come and go, but I just wanted to see if others have had similar pains soon after the surgery?

Yes, I had those catchy pains under the ribcage. If you are concerned you could call the surgeon and ask.

You just had major surgery so all your body is out of whack.

I have had them too. I'm 3.5 weeks post-op and they are starting to go away, but I equated them to when you drink too much water and then run, the stitch you get from that.

I think it's normal, but if you're concerned you should always call your doc office to check :)

Same here, I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op and I still have a cramp on my left side, albeit it is getting slowly better. I asked my Dr. and he said it was normal, I wouldn't panic just yet.

Your body is healing, they cut through muscle and nerves... Call the surgeon's office if it is of concern, but sounds normal...

I have the same thing. Kinda like a stitch from running. Not that I have ran in a very very long time :) 

The nurse also told me the larger inscision is on the left as that is where the camera goes.
