What is on your Wednesday Menu RNYers?

Hey everyone.

My eating calories were a bit higher last night. I MAY have eaten a few pepperoni and ham pieces off DH's pizza last night and a yasso bar (haven't had one though in over a week). And yes the pepperoni and ham was not considered a liquid...

I need to be more strict today. My FU with the Dr is next Wednesday.

Weight has stalled the past 4 days, looking forward to it decreasing!

Meetings most of the day today

No specific vacation plans for June. We have a 5k this saturday and yesterday I did my fastest mile (14 min). Yes, I realize this is REALLY slow for you runners but I started at 20-22 min and worked my way down so don't be a judgy mcjudgerpants about it- lol. sunday there is a tiny home convention in a nearby town that we may need to go to.

The following weekend is Fathers day and I think we will do a dual celebration for DH dad and mine. I was thinking of making homemade butter pecan ice cream for his dad and making a healthy meal for mine (he is diabetic).

We can be the 14 minute mile sisters!  I have to run tonight, I have a 5k on the 17th and I've been seriously slacking on the running.

Hey, no judgment here.  I may run, but I'm slow.  I like to say I'm on team turtle!!  Good job on increasing your speed/decreasing your time!

Morning Menu Gang! Thank you Cynthia for accepting the daily menu challenge and getting us started!

I rarely sleep well either Cynthia, like ever... I have never been a good sleeper even as a kid but it does seem worse now post surgery, not sure why but it is.  Oh no on the DVD player, I hope you can get the DVD out!! Bummer!!!

Ok not going to lie, I skipped skirt/dress day today, because well IT'S FRIGGIN COLD HERE!! Woke up to 8C (46F) temp!! WTH June??? Too cold for bare legs and I don't own nylons.  So its just boring black slacks and a grey turtle neck sweater, that's right you read sweater!!

ETA: Love your Jean skirt and converse!!  They look perfect together!  YAY for size 8!!!

QOTD:  No big June plans, my bday is in June but I am not a big bday person.  Hubby and I are going away end of July but nothing for June.  Ok I thought I was an epic road trip warrior, but WOW you got me beat Cynthia, 15 hrs by yourself??!!!  You ROCK!!!  Chicago sounds wonderful, good for you!

Ok gang, last night as I was flaked out on the couch I get a text from my best girlfriend, asks if we can talk, its urgent... I say of course! A little background... last week one of my "issues" I was dealing with is this girlfriend her boyfriend dumped her, out of the blue and she was devastated.  She did not cope well at all and she scared the crap out of me as she was saying things like "no reason to live any more", "my life sucks and I should just end it".  So its been very tough and hard helping her through this, but she seemed to get better everyday.  Well she came home from work yesterday and she has 3 dogs (no kids so the dogs are her kids) and one of the dogs was extremely ill. She rushed it to the vet emerg, long story short, the dog was bleeding internally due to a massive cancerous growth and had to be put to sleep.  She called me in hysterics!!!! I spent all evening consoling her and making sure she is okay.  I had my car keys in my hand ready to rush over and be with her but she said she was going to her Mom's so I felt she was safe. I checked in with her on the hour last night and then again at 5am this morning, she is a wreck but coping. Life, its just one curve ball after another eh?

Onward... Great menu today Cynthia!!!

Sorry your friend is having a rough time... it all stinks. Our animals are like our kids.... She is lucky to have a good friend like you.

I am going to try your tuna and balsamic for breakfast one day. Can or pouch? I think I have discovered if I am going to eat food for breakfast it has to be dense protein, no eggs in the AM. I miss eggs, but they just don't seem to work in the morning.
