Cynthia thanks for starting us off, if you are around Wed & Thurs I know Kristen wanted someone to start us off, thanks!

And WOW you are one hot Mama!! That dress just hugs you in all the right places, LOVE IT!!

QOTD: couple new food kicks I am on: grilled turkey burger with cranberry goat cheese melted on top. grilled salmon filet which I put a Tandoori fish rub on it first, let it sit for an hour in the fridge, grill it until it gets a nice crust on the top and juicy in the centre and then I put some balsamic glaze on top. Every Sunday we do groceries, I get 6 chicken breasts, come home and use another dry rub "Southern Heat" I think is what its called, made my McCormicks in the spice aisle and I let that sit in the fridge for 24 - 48 hours and grill it up.  I have plan on getting some asparagus and prosciutto and wrap the prosciutto around the asparagus and grill that up. There is a theme, I grill everything. Hope that helps!

Time since surgery: 2 yrs + 7 mos

B: tuna & balsamic dressing

L: tuna & balsamic dressing

S: Mission 1 protein bar

E: none - got good old Aunt Flow today... I have a brutal headache and brutal brutal period cramps.  After work I am going to walk the dogs and then go home get my PJs on and crash on the couch with some tylenol and heating pad BLAH!!  So because of Aunt Flow I didn't wear a skirt/dress, but I do have on a new top I scored at Marshalls last week for $15!  Happy Tuesday Gang!

Thanks for the compliment and thanks for all the ideas... love how organized you are with grilling. Where did you get the Tandoori fish rub? Or is it just a general tandoori spice?

Love Marshalls! Very cute top... Oh and BTW- Walking counts... you do the best you can on any given day.

Good morning everyone.  Cynthia, you look so fantastic!  As everyone else has mentioned, your arms are stuff of legend.  They should be immortalized in poetry.  Really amazing, and a perfect example of how hard work pays big dividends.

I had a really nice day off yesterday, and got a ton of stuff done.  I made an IKEA run to stock up on candles (tea lights, tapers, etc.) and napkins.  I hate going to IKEA, so I usually go once a year and stock up.  Since I went in the middle of the day on a week day, it wasn't so bad.  I won't go near the place on a weekend.

QOTD:  I haven't really tried much new lately.  Trader Joe's has a new veggie burger that has Thai flavors.  It's pretty good and a nice change.  I made a chimichurri sauce and used it on some beef kabobs I grilled this weekend.  That was good too.  I have mostly been doing the same old thing, but using different marinades and herb based sauces.  The Spring vegetables are hitting the farmers' markets and stores now, so I picked up some fresh green bean yesterday, and cooked them with garlic, onions and a little bacon.  Yum!

Below I have posted a picture of the skirt I am wearing.  Don't look too long at the pattern.  It has the ability to hypnotize.   And yes. that is a hula hoop leaning against the wall.  That is how I amuse myself during long, boring conference calls.  I'm getting pretty good at it.

Time Since Surgery:  18 months

B:  Egg Beaters, mozzarella and bacon omelette

S:  Cherries and turkey pepperoni stick

L:  3 oz Beef kabob with roasted peppers

S:  2 oz chicken thigh and green beans

D:  4 oz chicken breast and roasted root vegetables with balsamic vinegar

Totals:  Calories 771, Carbs 34, Protein 80

Have a great day everyone.  This is our last day of hot weather for a bit.  The rain in moving in tomorrow, so I intend to enjoy it (the hot weather, not the rain - although that is okay too)!!

Cynthia you are hot in that dress, but who am I kidding? All of you ladies are hot! I am logging in way late today, been busy with meetings all day.

QOTD: my favorite protein is probably chicken. I know that's boring, but it's just so darn versatile. All that grilling talk Daisy was talking makes me hungry for some salmon, which I am ashamed to say I've NEVER grilled on a grill at home. Maybe I will pick some up this week at the grocery. The asparagus wrapped in prosciutto sounds amazing too, but not sure my pouch is ready for asparagus yet.

B- irish tea with sugar free Italian creamer; 6 dill pickles; 1 cheese and turkey rollup

L- 1/4 c cottage cheese, 2T hummus, 10 pepperonis (this was not my planned lunch, I had to improvise from the hospital salad bar since my lunch was across campus in a fridge and had to run to a meeting)

S- premier protein shake

S-turkey and cheese rollup

D- chicken, cojita, avocado, greek yogurt and spicy ranch w/salsa

Totals: Cals- 820; Protein-78; Carbs- 27; Fat-48
