Good morning all, love the dresses.  I haven't owned one in many years.  I used to work in banking and always had to dress up so now that I work from home I only wear shorts and workout pants.

qotd: I would have to go with ribeye steak since I have just recently been able to tolerate beef.

B: Coffee with creamer, cheese bacon and spinach omelette

S: 1/2 protein shake

L: chicken nuggets ( son just brought me chick filet, damn it)

D: Turkey cheeseburger, peas

S: 1/2 protein shake

Good morning.  A little late for me this morning because a friend made me drag my butt out of bed and take a 5:45 circuit class at the gym.  Glad I did.  I'm trying to get as many workouts in before surgery; I want to be as strong as possible.  I'll probably go back tonight after work.  It's voting day in CA, and although I vote by mail, I can always use the "I need to go vote" as an excuse to leave in time for class.

CQOTD:  Nothing . . . absolutely nothing.  I'm most definitely in a rut with my food.  Some days it bothers me and other days I think "I like what I'm eating . . . why ruin a good thing?"  I'll be interested to read the thread for new ideas.

I know I could look back at old posts, but is anyone using the Vitamin patches?  I was considering it for after surgery.  I have a problem with chewable vitamins . . . they make me want to hurl . . . and from experience I know my surgeon won't let me swallow pills for a few months.  IF you use them, would you recommend them???

My plan:

B: Ground turkey (3.8 oz), cheddar (1 oz) and pesto

L: either chicken breast or turkey and cheese roll ups, depending on whether I want to leave the office

D: New York Strip (4.5 oz measured out)

S: Skinny vanilla latte; Light and fit with PB2

Totals: Cal: 972; Protein: 115g; Fat: 32g; Carbs: 43g

I love them... bought a 6 month supply, figured I needed that much to see how I like them. Getting some blood work back next week, and expecting a good result. Feel much better on them, was having a few issues that disappeared. I do take additional B-12, but halved it when I started the patch.... additional calcium and magnesium... They have a calcium patch, which I have, but I only use it when travelling. I should order and start using it regularly as I seem to forget my calcium.

I forget what kind of surgery you are having....??

I'm converting from VSG to Bypass to try and control my out of control GERD

Thanks for the info.  My last set of labs were great except my D was too high (almost at toxic levels) and my B-12 was high also.  I cut out my D completely and cut back on B-12.  I think I'll give the patch a try and see how it goes

I haven't had any labs drawn and am too newly post-op to say if the patches work. But like you, the chewable vits I just couldn't get down. The patches are great, and I don't think unaffordable. My surgeon's office had never heard of them, so once my labs are back I will break the happy news that I put myself on them. (The office sells bariatric advantage and they want you to buy that I think).

Hi I was reading thru everyone's post on today's foods looking for inspiration :) when I say your post about Vit D too high...

Last May, I tested too low with one doctor and was prescribed Vit D2 50,000 IUI 1x week and I take Vit D3 5000 each day. Have been doing so since, however, I have a new doctor who has kept me on the prescription of the old doctor and never checked my levels. I never thought much about it, until now. Now I see that it can go the other way I will be concerned more & make sure I get a re-check by my doctor to make sure we are on track.

Thank you for you post.

Yes, you should.  Vitamin D is toxic at high levels, so it's a balancing act trying to hit on the right amount of supplementation.

I'm going to start the patches after i get my 6 month labs back.

I'm almost wondering if they are hard on my pouch.
