OK it is 9am... I think Kristen probably has stuff going on under the cir****tances....

Dress from yesterday for our unofficial dress/skirt week challenge...

This was Costco's cheap offering last summer: I am terrible at selfies...hahahahaha

QOTD: Most recent new recipe or food you tried and liked! In a rut, and need ideas.

Mine? -  GNC Len shake burn (powder) protein mix - bought at Sam's club. 30g protein and 100% whey isolate. Tastes really good but needed like 12oz fluid. half milk, half water. 8oz, for me it was too strong and thick...

B; GNC lean shake

S: 1 oz cheddar cheese

L: roasted chicken

S: GNC lean bar

D: grilled chicken, spinach

S: PB on a spoon

EX: Cize dance video

Ok, today is a new day and I only see good things ahead, including date night! Chinese food, then to see one of our all time favorite classic movies at the local theater. Can't wait!

I bit the bullet and called the surgeon today about the GERD. I gave up coffee but it's getting worse :( What are my likely options? Hernia? Ulcer?

I'm wearing a plain white skirt. It's cuter than it sounds but I don't feel like taking a selfie at work. Just trust how awesome I look. Ha!

QOTD: nuthin'. I'm in a rut, too!

B: Fit Frappe Mocha and almonds

S: Mr Cheese Os

L: 2 deli roast beef wraps with lettuce and cheese

S: Greek yogurt

D: Beef teriyaki (meat on a stick!)

My appt is next wed- I'm thinking either ulcer still or hernia or the whatcha ma call it thing is not working to keep the acid down. I forget the medical name- I googled it...

Oh, and with me- I dropped the decaf coffee and it didn't help at all also.

I've been wondering if the vits could be causing it?

Yay for date night and classic movies...

I just weaned myself off my omeprezole PPI... for me it was definitely the hernia. Hernia fixed, no PPI, all good.

I had been on the PPI for almost 2 years since surgery. It took my first anniversary, and I guess the 'oh. she is still complaining' sentiment for them to investigate... Discovering the hernia is what pushed my PS into a reality... :) Read online you shouldn't go cold turkey off of it, as your system has gotten used to it...so I weaned myself. been off for several weeks....

Hoping you find the cause!

Good luck with the GERD.  If it's not related to the bypass but a problem with the LES (at the bottom of the esophagus) there are non-surgical procedures they can do to tighten it.  I've done all the research and explored all the possibilities!  I switched to decaf about a year ago when my GERD started and it didn't help.  I still drink decaf because I'm convinced I'm pulling one over on my brain (not really . . .) Last appt with the surgeon I was going to "get coffee" with another one of his patients and when he heard that, he stuck his head in the room to remind me that I shouldn't be drinking coffee.  Really?  At this point, when breathing air gives me heartburn, does it really matter?

I hope they get to the bottom of it, because I know how miserable it is.

Thanks. I'm really frustrated about it... I suffered so badly when I had the band and I have had about 8 beautiful months without acid. I'm not happy to see it back and frankly, it scares me a little. I really thought RNY was the end of those worries.
