What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
AV,
My condolences on the loss of you MIL. Your MIL looked like a very sweet woman and has quite the extended family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I feel very blessed that my mother, who is 88, is still with us and in decent health for her age. She has more of a social life than I do, lol! I call and talk with her at least once a week.
We also just found out over the weekend that our brother-in-law's ( my husband's sister' husband) father took his own life Friday night. I guess there is just going to be a small private family service and was cremated. My heart just breaks for my brother-in-law.

Nothing Tastes as Good as Healthy Feels!
Hello all,
One week out and I am starting to get into a groove.
This is a revision from a sleeve to an rny - so I am trying to make this work. I know one of the most important thing to do is keep track of what I am eating, so I have it in fitness pal and here!
I took all my vitamins, did 8,200 steps, but didn't drink nearly enough water.
2 crushed vitamins and a probiotic in a cup - kinda tastes and looks like a fun dip
grande tea at Starbucks
1/2 protein shake
a few tablespoons of refried beans, avocado and salsa
Protein coffee (not real coffee it is a chicory blend - I almost had a decaf as the day was getting to me, but I stayed strong)
My daughter and I had freezies - they were fruit based but after her melt down, she is getting her 2 year molars, we both needed one!
strawberry muscle milk while my daughter ate chicken nuggets and fries. I was too lazy to make dinner so we went out for a walk and stopped at the McDonald's that is attached to a convenience store. I was happy to see the muscle milk. I would have just skipped dinner without it.
Happy Monday all
jaime
Hi,
I got the revision due to weight gain. I had my vsg in 2010. I was about 280. I only made it down to 180. I didn't stay there long. Blink of an eye!
I made it back up to about 238 around Christmas this year. I was having gallbladder problems so the Doctor suggested we do a two for one - gallbladder removal and rny at the same time. I happily agreed.
I feel really good so far.
What about you?
Sorry for the sad news and bad days going on. One day at a time.
My weekend was good - my youngest son graduated from high school so we had a few celebrations!
12 more work days until summer vacation for me! I cannot wait!
B - protein shake
S - hard boiled egg & cheese stick
L - chicken with veggies
S - nuts, Greek yogurt, blueberries
D - leftover braciola from graduation, salad
S - hummus w celery
i feel like I'm eating constantly but my blood sugar doesn't seem to plummet when I do this.
