What is on your Sunday Menu RNYers?
Good Morning Everyone!
QOTD: Cheese is definitely my favorite protein. Also protein bars.
Yesterday I ate: a protein shake, muscletech mission 1 protein bar, 2 slices swiss cheese, bacon, string cheese sticks and an Atkin's snack bar. Today will probably be somewhat similar.
Exercise: Hoping to take the doggies for a walk today.
Have a great day everyone!

L- Grilled chicken tenders
D- Not sure hopefully we will be headed home
S-Peanuts and bacon bits packed in my bag
I hope everyone has a fantabulous day!

Hey everyone! I went to a work BBQ yesterday and despite my efforts, snuck in some carbs. I did, however, ride my excercise bike 5 miles, which I know isn't **** but I am so out of shape and sedentary, I figured something is better than nothing, right? I haven't excercised in forever and I've promised myself to ride every day and ride a little bit further.
QOTD: Favorite protein? Probably chicken and cheese. I'm making skinny chicken mozzarella tonight (yeah Blue Apron) which combines both.
B: eggs or 1/2 a protein shake
L: unsure, I'm trying to stay away from carbs, though
D: skinny chicken mozzarella and some broccoli
S: nuts and chees
E: more biking!
Have a great pre-Monday everyone. UGH!
QOTD - Favorite protein is beef filet, but ribeye is a close second.
3 weeks post-op. I'm still trying to get my pouch to want pureed foods, seems it's only interested in water at this point. This pouch reminds me of a ultra picky 2yr old. No matter what I "want", my pouch says no.
I'll try to consume 3 protein shakes and a few tbsps of some pureed chicken or avocado.
It's not scorching hot today, so I plan to increase my walking to half a mile, I'm still instructed to limit my walks to 10 minutes at a time, and I think I can do half a mile in 10 minutes. I've been walking 3 short 5 minute walks a day so far. LOL, I might need a nap later.

Pouches are very finicky at 3 weeks. I never pureed my food, just chopped finely, added some type of broth, sauce, gravy or condiment and chewed well.... Beef has always agreed with my pouch, even from the beginning... fish being a close second. I am pretty good with chicken now, but still prefer Boneless thighs (more moist)... still for the most part can't do any cold cuts....and almost 2 years out.
I noticed differences at 3 months, 6 months and a year as to what I could consume. Like switches went off... The year mark is now I can drink normally so I don't have to worry about getting all my fluids in, much easier.

Good Morning! Happy Sunday. Will be heading to church in a bit and then a few errands to run (end of year teacher gifts and such) then some rest and relaxation before another crazy week.
QOTD: At the moment I would say the little tuna packets! Easy and yummy on top of a salad.
Menu today will be a latte and shake for breakfast, salad with tuna on top for lunch, latte, port rinds, yogurt and jerky for a snack and dinner will be grilled chicken breast, baby carrots and SF pudding with toasted coconut. Exercise-got in my 6 miles. Water and vits are on track. Hope everyone has a great day.
Good Morning!!
Well it's going to be another 100 degree day today so I think my meals will be water....lol Just kidding, seriously though, I was actually on my way to becoming a whole food plant based diet kinda gal when I had surgery....I am 4 weeks out now so still can not have the wonderful plants I want and I am so tired of meat and cheese!! I dream of a day that veggies are back in my life for now though, I think i will have....
