What is on your Sunday Menu RNYers?
Good Morning All! Little dreary here this AM on Long Island... Boo... On my schedule for this AM is cleaning up...the clutter is real, and doing my exercise routine. This week I have been doing the Cize video from Beachbody. Borrowed it from my girlfriend. It is good for me right now, because I am not cleared for full exercise and their are no weights, ab exercises etc...it is all dance. I have to Say Shaun T is very good at explaining what to do and then building the routine up step-by-step like a real dance class. I have videos where you have no idea what you are supposed to be doing and just fumble along....
Public service announcement, in case you missed it.... Julie aka Sparklekitty has set up a 5 day Meat Test website... It is real people. After the success of AMAW week we know dense protein works. Get the word out FORGET the Pouch Test, Meat is where it is at....Getting back to basics is protein forward...
QOTD: What is your favorite Protein? Mine lately are the Petite sirloins from Target, in the fresh section. Don't like leftover steak, and they are a perfect size and delicious.
S: Pre-workout drink with unflavored protein powder added (I use Body Effects pre-workout)

S: premier protein
L: 1/2 bagel, chicken salad (Monthly lunch at church- usually have those offerings)
S: GNC Lean Bar
D: BBQ Chicken, spinach

Ex: Cize dance video
Sundays are a long day with church and I have to go to a wake that is not close....trying to up my protein so that is why the added powder in the AM. We will see how the food day pans out- but always good to have a plan!

I love her website! I get so sick of hearing about the 5 day pouch test! I don't think that can be a long term help to anyone contrary to some people's beliefs. What we need to do is cut the crappy carbs and get back to dense protein like we're supposed to be eating anyway. Putting off following the dietary rules by drinking shakes doesn't really help. My favorite proteins right now are ribeye steaks but I also love me some shrimp too. Post op 45 months and weight at 12.2 today. Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in already and will walk later at the state park too. Plans today are setting up for coffee hour at church, church, doing an emergency food order at the pantry, making lunch and then heading out to camp. Camper is all packed just have to pick up one bag and head out! Here's the food for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1/2 c green beans D 1 smoked sausage 1/2 c peas and carrots S pure protein protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some wise choices!
Haha...glad you caught it! Have fun camping.... You are so bold posting your weight everyday. I take mine everyday...but posting? yikes! That is brave.
Love me some shrimp too....

I've seen the infomercial for cize, your the first I've heard that's tried it. I'd likely be I the fumble around category of success with it-- I'm so uncoordinated.
i didn't hit the gym this morning. I feel exhausted and my arm and thigh muscles hurt. I'm listening to my body and resting a bit more than usual. I'll see if I'm up to the gym tonight, or workout at home but normally that leaves my muscles aching and since they already are...
QOTD: favorite protein: cheese. I LOVE cheese, I know not the best source, but it made giving up bread, pasta etc liveable. Behind that, chicken is my favorite dense protein, it's so versatile.

Good morning all, thanks for the feedback yesterday, I've read enough on here to follow your advice and not my twiggy nut. I am finishing up the next 2 days of menus since I have already bought everything and it is not a liquid diet anymore.
my favorite protein is chicken right now, love seafood but I am from the east coast living in Texas and it just doesn't taste the same.
lots of walking, jogging and bike riding today, I am on day 3 of no alcohol and still feeling kinda on edge.
have a great day.
