Newbie here! RNY next week, June 8
Hi there! I'm pretty new too! I had my RNY on 5/16... less than 3 weeks ago. I've learned so much around here, and continue to pick up great advice. While I don't feel a whole lot difference just yet, I know it's coming! I can't wait for my first NSV!
You will do just fine if you follow your doctor's rules, and go easy and slow!

Congratulations and good luck! I first found this site in 2006. At that time the wait times in Ontario were terrible and I decided to lose weight without surgery. Sinc
e then I've lost and regained 60 lbs twice. Finally, this year I decided I'd had enough. So I got the process started. Apparently, my surgery could be anytime between October and April. I hate the waiting game but so glad for this opportunity. This site is full of information and helpful people. Good luck on your journey!
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Thank you so much for your good wishes, Daizymom! I too have lost and regained multiple times, and decided this year that I really need an effective tool to help me keep it off. Every time I lost weight, my body would require fewer and fewer calories to maintain, to the point that I just couldn't live my life. I believe this is the right answer, for me at least, and I'm anxious to move forward.
All the best to you as you await your scheduling!
Best wishes,
Barb
