What's on Your (photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning and happy friday! So glad it's the weekend. I have a love/hate relationship with short work weeks. Love the extra day off, but hate cramming in all my work into 4 days. AV- I would love to join the skirt/dress challenge, but as I was getting dressed yesterday (I had a graduation to attend and thought I should try and look presentable) I realized that I lent all my dresses to a friend who needed something to wear to a daytime wedding, and she hasn't brought them back. I'm dressless! I think I may have to pay her a visit this weekend. It's getting hot and dresses are nice a cool.
I got great news from my surgeon yesterday. I sent him an email asking about pre-op procedure and whether I need to do the pre-op diet (3 shakes a day and 1 meal under 300 cal.) When we first discussed surgery he said I'd have to do "the whole 6 weeks again" which to me meant 2 week pre-op and the 4 week post op food progression. He told me yesterday that there's no need for me to do a pre-op, that he wants me eating high protein and eating like I was "preparing for a race." That I can do! I was DREADING the pre-op diet!
My plan is partially up in the air today. We typically go out to dinner on Friday, but I have no clue what the plan is. So, there's a gap in the menu. Oh, aside from the typical run/gym thing I have ZERO weekend plans over here.
B: Ground turkey, cheese and pesto, skinny vanilla latte
L: Chicken Breast, broccoli
D: ?????
S: Turkey breast, wedge of laughing cow cheese
Totals (as it stands now): Cal. 751; Protein 91g; Fat: 29g; Carbs: 28g
Oh hell yes, it's Friday! Woo hoo! See ya short, ugly week. Hello weekend with temps close to 100 degrees. I don't have a lot of plans, other than cold drinks in the shade, or cranking up the AC. I have some plants that I have to get in pots before the heat hits. They are shade plants, so with a bunch of water they should do okay. There will probably be an impromptu BBQ tomorrow night, which is pretty SOP on hot days like it will be.
My pic below is my casual Friday outfit (pardon my manicure). Deanna inspired me with her cute denim skirt, so I pulled mine out of my closet to wear today. The first pic is of my baby, Layla. She wants to know what everyone is doing.
Time Since Surgery: 18 months
B: Egg Beaters, mozzarella and bacon omelette
S: Black Forest ham, mango
