What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
LOL @ 'any kind of weird crap'. But again, kiwi is freaking delicious.
Confession: I only tried kiwi for the first time last summer when my husband bought one. And he only bought it because he thought it was an avocado. True story. How does a grown man confuse a kiwi with an avocado?! LMFAO
Hi AV and everyone! It's been FOREVER since I have posted, but I often come to read the post late in the day, even if it's just from my phone. I was traveling for work for two weeks, and life just got in the way. Some days I find it so hard to believe that I am 2.5 years post-op! I still find maintenance to be tough, and I still use MFP to log and track everyday. I am also staying consistent with my 4 or 5 workouts a week. I weigh myself every other day or so.
I love love love mango, and I eat it they way I have had it in Mexico. Peel the mango and slice it up, place it in a ziplock bag. Add the juice of a lime, a bit of salt, and some hot sauce, and shake. Trust me when I say it's DELICIOUS! I don't like papaya - the consistency is weird to me.
B: Slice of muenster cheese, half of a protein bar
L: Grilled cheese with turkey
D: Leftover rotisserie chicken, corn on the cob, roasted sweet potatoes
E: None today, couldn't get my butt out of bed early enough!
I am happily dating someone and he eats pretty healthy and works out, so it's a nice inspiration for me. We just joined a fitness center near his house for when we stay at his place, so now I have a gym in both cities. He also doesn't drink often, and loves home cooked meals, so it's a great motivator for me to eat out less and cook more healthy dishes. All in all, it's a win!
I hope everyone has a great day! Even if I don't post, I read - I love seeing the community that has sprung up here :)

HI EM!!! It's nice to 'see' you! You are a real WLS success story and I love to hear you're still rocking it.
Imma have to try your mango prep. I'm a firm believer that hot sauce makes errrything better.
Ummm . . . I don't recall you running this new guy past us for our approval.

Good morning all. I've carted a child to the dentist this morning, back to her school 30 minutes away, and turned around and came back to work 60 minutes from the school. Tired of driving now.
Who fit in a pair of size 16 capri pants that were in my closet this morning? This girl! I started out in a 22, so that makes me happy!
QOTD: My favorite fruit is probably a 3 way tie between strawberries, watermelon and pineapple, but only if I don't have to cut it myself on the pineapple. Of course, haven't eaten pineapple or watermelon since RNY, am afraid to test that yet. I have only been eating the strawberries because I took my kids to pick them over the weekend for strawberry shortcake for them and we had some extra. I figured with the cottage cheese the fat would counteract any potential dumping. My least favorite is kiwi- sorry Kristen! They just look too much like testicles. Blech.
