V8?
I'd say it counts as a drink but would take away from your calorie bank for real food.

It has no nutritional value, just empty calories. Try to avoid drinking calories whenever you can.

WAyyyyyyy too many carbs and calories. Avoid like the plague.
Even when you are ready for more fruits and veggies... which two months out, you are not unless you have gotten ALL of your protein and healthy fats in for the day... the real thing is better than a drink...

I am not a doctor, but I play one at work.
You are too soon from surgery to have anything not on your surgeon's list. Veggies only after you have had all protein for the day. v8 is not really a veggie - 1/4 cup has 15 gms carbs - that's more than ice cream.
Skip it. OK to ask here, but make sure you read the label - lots of food seem O****il you read the label. Two that tripped me up - Low Cal Gatorade - still 150 cal per servings (all carbs) and a 'protein bar' - it was really a carb bar - we have to be careful with reading labels.
PS My first reaction was - maybe not too bad, but then I looked up the label on-line. Not until you reach you goal wt and then you will not want it.
