QOTD: The bravest thing I have ever done was going halfway across the world to adopt my daughter in Kazakhstan (2004). It was scary. I was there 56 days (trip was supposed to be 28 days). I was terrified I would not get my daughter home (horrible soviet bureaucracy) , but eventually I did. 3 years later I went to China for #2. It was a much easier process.
I got a new scale (Fitbit Aria) a few days ago but am too chicken to set it up right now. The end of the school year is tough because everyone feeds us!! We also went to our big neighbor summer shindig and there was tons of free food. I need to detox a few days before weighing myself.
2 more days of school and then I can live my summer life of leisure by the pool!!
ETA, Here is a picture of my daughter and I in Kazakhstan and one from Thursday...

Beautiful story. Beautiful ladies!
I had a friend go through a similar struggle adopting through Soviet bureaucracy. It's so awful to put these loving adoptive families through such an epic trauma. I am so glad it worked out :)
*edited to add that I really like my Aria! Especially since another helpful poster taught me how to delete a high weight that I don't like after an automatic sync. Before that I'll admit that I was avoiding the scale some times...
Love this! You are both adorable and have sweet smiles.
