Good morning AV. Cute shoes. I will admit something to you guys, I am horrible about my toenails. Don't get me wrong, I don't have nasty, funky nails. I keep them trimmed, but I haven't painted them since last fall. I have the remnant of the last pedicure on my toes. I don't wear open toes in the fall/winter and I don't get regular pedicures, so meh. That being said, I got a $50 gift card from my work this month for having my annual dental cleaning, so I'm planning on getting a pedicure this weekend!

My plans for the weekend are as follows: Tomorrow I'll get a pedicure at some point, but really it's all about the yard work and house work. Sunday is free, we have no plans, so I think I'm going to get my **** together and go visit my grandma. She's not doing well and my sister and law has been spending time with her, and she's feeling very depressed. I love her, but we have a dysfunctional relationship. She's never been abusive to me, but she is so needy and I have a tendency to run away when I feel overwhelmed. But she's in her mid 80's and fading fast I think.

Monday I'm hosting a family BBQ at my house. I expect about 15 to 20 guests. We'll do burgers, hot dogs and I'll throw some bone-in chicken breasts in the smoker that morning for pulled chicken. I'll also be making baked beans, pasta salad and I think I'm going to roast some cauliflower on the grill. Did you know that Ball Park has a hot dog that is all white meat turkey that has 45 calories per dog? I tried one last Sunday and they were not bad.

Plan for the day today:

B: 2 eggs, 2 center cut bacon and 1 slice of velveeta. coffee with cream and splenda. Funny how this breakfast never gets old.

L: 2oz of turkey deli meat, 1.5 slices of thin colby jack cheese with 2 slices of bacon on 1/2 a light flat out. and a pickle spear. This is seems like a lot of food, but it's only 245 calories total.

D: Al Fresco Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage and 2oz of steamed cauliflower with grated Parmesan

S: light and fit greek yogurt

Totals:

Calories 777 (jackpot!) protein 76 carbs 26 fat 42

Here are my photos for photo Friday. Last weekend when I went shopping I was hoping to hit a sale on ribeye steak... Well I did, but this is what they consider a "sale" at my local Meijer. $12.99 a pound is a sale, and that is bone in.

My second pic is a wide shot of my desk taken this morning. It's been nucking futs around here this week, which has added to my anxiety. I need to get some **** done today and get this stuff organized. I had 3/4 of a million dollars in refunds cross my desk yesterday and I'm just finishing up the aftermath. I don't know how my boss puts up with my disorganization, but she's got the day off so hopefully I can get it together by the end of the day. LOL

Holy hell, the picture of your desk is giving me the fits.  LOL  I'll have to look for the Ball Park franks.  I love me some hot dogs and my current go-to is Hebrew National 97% FF Beef Franks.  45 cals, 6 gms protein and they are sooooo good.

Yeah, I wish that were true.  I think the lowest I've seen it was $8.99, and I bought it at that time.  I'm in the midwest, damnit, you'd think that I'd have access to more affordable yummy beef.

I am tempted to get on a plane and come out there to organize your desk. I'm going to be thinking about that picture all day!

I refuse to pay more than $5 a pound for any kind of meat. When it gets beyond that, I'll start raising my own again and it won't cost me more than $3.00 a pound even with the butchering and transport costs.

But I have to chuckle at your desk. Looks a whole lot like mine.
