What's on Your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Morning AV and the Gastric Gang! Decent night last night, my menu changed a bit but I didn't go completely nuts. I ended up with turkey taco meat with some refried beans on a low carb tortilla, and it was delicious and not too terrible.
Got into a fight with my toddler yesterday about the bath. I just don't get it. He's going through something and it's frustrating to deal with. He didn't nap yesterday, so he was cranky. We played outside for a while last night after dinner (which he didn't eat at all) because I wanted to make sure he didn't fall asleep too early. then I took him in and tried to bathe him. It ended with him sobbing uncontrollably while I had him naked on my lap on the bathroom floor. I just washed him with a washcloth and got his hair as wet as I could. Once I got the surface dirt off, I oiled him from his hair to his toes with coconut oil. That's the best I could do. What I don't understand is his fear of the bathtub, he's never had a traumatic experience. Maybe he was just so tired and cranky, but this has been going on for a while. anyway, while I was putting the leftovers away he fell asleep on the family room floor at about 7:30 and slept straight through until 6:15 this morning. He was in a much better mood this morning.
Hubby should be home tonight before the baby goes to bed, but it will all depend on how well his call goes this morning. He's working in a large research hospital today and it will depend on how quickly they get the part he ordered from the dock to the lab. I didn't make the gym this morning, and it makes me sad, but I'm using my executive wife powers to claim tomorrow morning as my gym time since I couldn't get there on my normal day. That is me being a little selfish, and honestly I'm sure hubby will happily give up his morning for me and try to get an extra hour of sleep.

S: 2x light and fit greek yogurt
totals:

Elliot all of a sudden HATED bath time when he was right about 2. We just made baths wicked quick for a while, and eventually he was fine again. NO IDEA what brought it on, but he got over it pretty quickly.
EXECUTIVE WIFE POWERS!!!! hahahaha love it
When Michael was little, he got plenty of outdoor baths. LOL If you fill up the kiddy pool (or even one of those big Rubbermaid bins) and leave it in the sun, it'll warm up nicely.
Deanna, I had the same problem with my youngest, at 2 she developed a fear of the tub, it went on for quite a while. I ended up buying one of those plastic hoses you can put on the spout and showering her standing up, it was easier that way than trying to get her to sit in the tub. Then I would wash her hair in kitchen sink, laying her across the kitchen counter. Funny thing though, when summer came, she got right into her little pool with no problem, so I told her since she could get in the pool, she could get in the tub, she balked at first, but when I told her if she didn't try she wouldn't be able to go in the pool. It worked. You just never know what is going on in their heads.
Hi everyone,
I'm off to my first full day back at work. Feeling a little shaky but will be sitting all day so it's doable.
Qotd: hands down the trip to London with my sisters and mom. I actually cried as I walked through the British History Museum seeing things I had only dreamed about seeing. I had a horrible cold on that trip and can barely remember that part because the trip was so great!

LOVE the British Museum. I have never been able to get out of the Egyptian wing, because it is so darned cool. The Rosetta Stone for crying' out loud. I did crack up at all of the signs that warned against the evils of grave robbing. Um, excuse me nice sir, but how did you get all of this stuff in the first place? I don't think the mummies volunteered to be on display!
