Measuring/weighing your food
I'm just 3 mo. post op, but I'm just now learning how off my 'guestimates' are. I have started in this past month to weigh and measure everything. My weight loss had slowed to a crawl and I was suspicious of how much I was really eating. Well, now I know for sure, and that makes me feel better. I suspect that eventually (like once I'm in maintenance) I'll be able to stop weighing/measuring everything, but not yet. I also realized that before WLS, I'd NEVER been 100% honest about what actually went in my mouth, so counting everything has made me more accountable to myself, too.

Weighing and measuring is important. Do it when you are home because you won't be doing it when you are out, so it is important to know what your portion is.
