Sorry to hear Grim's news. Nothing can prepare you to deal with a Mom's illness. Nothing. I will be sending good thoughts his way.

Spent yesterday at the US Sumo Open. We had a great time.  It is always nice when something turns out better than you had even hoped. They sold japanese bento boxes, so stayed right on track for lunch with chicken skewers and edamame.

Here is a joke of the same caliber that my 22 year old daughter posted yesterday for some unknown reason.  "Why did the chicken cross the road?"  "To get to the idiot's door."...."Knock knock" "Who's there?"  "THE CHICKEN"

Good luck sticking to your food plan this week.  You can do it!  I know it isn't photo Friday, but here are a couple of pictures from yesterday, including my bento box.

I was just trying to convince Grim, yesterday, about how awesome Bento boxes are!

JB, you and Grim are in my prayers.

I've literally been up all night at a religious ceremony and I'm too brain dead for jokes. Well, here's one:

What do you call a dog with two legs and steel balls?

SPARKY.

B: (eaten around 7AM) two pieces of grilled pork, a spoonful of rice and beans, and a piece of cake. Yes I know I'm wrong for eating it 6 weeks out but it was from a Haitian bakery and Haitian cakes are GREAT.

L: coffee with milk and a protein shakes

D: pork ribs and an ear of corn (we'll see how much of it I get down)

A nurse buddy told me this: A woman alive with minor injuries is found in her wrecked car. The paramedic immediately says she's a nurse. Someone askes how he knows. He says, 'She has a full bladder, an empty stomach, and a bite out of her ass'.

A doctor dies and goes to Heaven. At dinner, he tries to cut the line but is stopped by St. Peter. He protests that he is a doctor.

He looks over in outrage to see a young guy in scrubs go to the front of the line. He tells St. Peter. St. Peter looks over and says, 'Oh, that's God. Sometimes he likes to pretend he's a doctor.'

I see Turkey and Brie on there! ....

Is the Cold Brew worth the money? Was eyeing it at TJs but didn't pull the trigger...

I make my own cold brew.  Course ground coffee+ filtered water. (1 cup - 2 cups) let stand for 12-24 hours. Strain. You have cold brew.  Enjoy.
