Juniper please tell Mr Grim that I have his mom in my thoughts. I assume in place of the chocolate covered almonds that you might have Ribeye today???

Time period.... I often think that I would just like to go back to the 70`s when I was a kid and spend more time with my grandparents. Then on another hand not so much a time period but a culture. I think that I could survive in an Amish sect and fall off the face of modern technology.

Uninspired by food lately. Have not been spending as much time as I would like reading the daily food thread and working opposite schedules as my DH. Can someone just kick me in the ass!!!

Yesterday

BKFT Strawberry Cheesecake Greek Yogurt

LUNCH TJ (20 minute lunch break yesterday sigh)Mini Brie Bites Butterball BBQ Chicken Sticks

DINNER TJ Balsamic Rosemary Chicken Breast with a little Kale (this is sold in the produce section and was super moist expensive yes but makes 3 dinners for me )

SNACKS Roasted Edamame Hard Boiled Eggs

God Afternoon JB and everyone!

I have been busy getting back in action after surgery. On my 2 week follow-up my doctor pretty much gave me the go ahead to do stuff except anything that will put much stress on my abdomen. Have a lot of DIY projects I am working on with my DH. I also cleared out some clothes that are too big now....I Love It! I am donating them to Salvation Army.  I have lost over 40 lbs. from the beginning of my journey in January! I have gotten dry heaves twice since starting puréed foods; the first time was ground chicken and the second was on a protein shake ( I should have checked the milk before mixing and drinking because I think it was turning).

B: 1 scrambled egg with 1  oz low fat cheese

L: 2 oz  Tuna fish w/ low fat mayo

D: not quite sure yet.

QOTD: I would love to go back to anywhere between the turn of the century to the 1910-1920's. I seen this movie once about Coco Chanel and would have loved to live at the time of her younger years (in her 20's) . So I think that was around the 1920's? The clothes were so beautiful then and the hats...I am a hat person lol! Back when men were gentlemen. No offense to anyone.

Good afternoon. QOTD: I would love to see the time period when Art Deco, Art Nouveau and the like were in blossom, or maybe the Italian Renaissance, with daVinci and Michelangelo. On the other hand, I have difficulty separating the social problems from the time period, so perhaps I could travel to a Utopian future where poverty, disease, war and want have been eradicated and art and fashion have developed in ways one can only imagine.

Scored some ripe cherries at the market yesterday - must finish them before CAMAW Critter begins on Monday.

B: last of the pork roast with sugar-free wild berry jam

L: low fat old cheddar and ripe cherries

D: rotisserie chicken

Snacks: yogurt, sugar-free chocolate pudding

Have fun at the game JB! Best wishes to Grim for his mother's continued recovery.
