What's on your (Photo) Friday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning Everyone!
QOTD: Being able to talk my dogs for walks without panting and getting out of breath is a major NSV for me. Also, a little NSV - the other day I noticed that my hands don't look as pudgy and fat as they used to and the ring I inherited from my mother when she died, (that she inherited from her mother), isn't as tight now!
Yesterday I ate: a Protein shake (with water YUK), a protein bar, cottage cheese, chicken breast w/ mashed potatoes & gravy, string cheese sticks, an Atkin's snack bar and another protein bar. I went over on calories but it was one of those days when I just felt hungry all day long. I will try to do better today.
Have a great Friday everyone!!!

Gorgeous ring! How lovely to have it handed down, I assume you will give it to your daughter too when the time comes.
And oh my as I gardener and flower lover your Peony's are stunning!!!
For sure walking the dogs is also one of my NSVs too!!!!!!!!!!! My dogs get so much exercise now that I am pretty sure at the dog park they are bragging to the other dogs about how much they get to go out LOL LOL
Keep up the great work!

Ha! When I first read your answer to the QOTD, I read it as "being able to take your dog for walks without pants." Um, not sure that is a NSV. So glad to discover that you do wear pants when walking your dog.

Deanna,
I think it's great that you are supporting your husband this way. We all know how hard it is to make a change, and we had surgery and still struggle!
My biggest NSV so far is my often-times mouthy and self-centered 15 year old son telling me that he could tell I had really lost a lot of weight, and actually looking proud of me when he said it. I was honestly surprised he had noticed!
I forgot my protein shake this morning running out the door, so my menu today is weirdish, but I think I will still make it!
B- triple zero oikos chocolate yogurt
L- 1/3 c refried beans with salsa, cheddar
D- lemon/pepper tuna packet
S1- 1/2 c cottage cheese
S2- beef jerky
Totals: cals-522/ protein-57 /carbs-38 /fat-15
*I reserve the right to throw something else in there if I'm hungry, really trying to push water though. I felt really dry the night before last when I went to bed. The scale still isn't budging. For the love!
