I'll down 20 oz of water while I take my kids to school, and some mornings I take a little something to eat with me in case I need it. I've also gotten shaky from waiting too long to eat in the morning. It depends on how late my last snack is. If I have a small snack before bed, I'm usually okay the next morning until I decide to eat.

You can drink up until a few minutes before you eat. As long as you wait that half hour ( with chicken or steak, I wait closer to ask hour. ) after you eat, you'll be good to go.

I drink a small glass when I get up, drink a 1/2 cup of coffee, take a bottle of water with me every morning, and take either a cheese stick or a 1/2 a protein bar in case I start feeling like I need to eat. By the time I get home, enough time has usually passed if I've eaten, and can finish my coffee. Before eating, I make sure I drink at keat 8 oz of water, or iced tea, and then eat.

Hope this helps.
