So glad to hear that!  I haven't been on BC for 10 years so I'm a bit concerned.  Any change in labido? (If you don't mind answering, otherwise I understand)

Except for on and off spotting for the first 6'ish weeks, I didn't really have any side effects. I had it put in one month after my RNY, and did experience a decrease in libedo for a few months, but I attribute that more to the RNY than the IUD (I didn't experience it with my first one).

However, a couple months ago I had no cycle/spotting at all and panicked that we were the 0.5% that get pregnant. Luckily that was not the case!

I'm worth it!

I had the Mirena IUD for about 5 years between kids.  It was GREAT, no period at all, no spotting, no cramps etc!!

I have an IUD and I love it. No periods anymore (except for some very light spotting once every couple months)!

Sorry about the cramps.  Mine actually got better after surgery.  They used to have me doubled over on a regular basis.  This is totally TMI but I have an ovarian cyst that acts up sometimes and when it does, the pain is horrible.  Also, it gives me an extended shark week.  My longest being 45 days straight.  Can you say shark month?

Oh and I'm a HUGE fan of ART!  It hurts like hell, but works.

My periods were horrible for years.  Lasted forever (But never 45 days!) and so heavy. I didn't have cramps but I always felt like I was going to hemorrhage and my iron and blood counts were terrible.  I had an endometrial ablation and it was the best thing ever.  It didn't work right away and I was a little worried as they said I wasn't an optimal candidate due to the fact that I had twins so my uterus was larger than normal and the range of the "wand" that does the surgery might not get to everything, but after a couple of months, my periods stopped. I had one random one at about 6 months after and then no more.  Best thing ever.

I'm also considering IUD- but worried about those reports of puncture etc.

Mine is SUPER light this month- like worried something is wrong too light. Not trying to look a gift shark in the mouth but very very odd.
