Thank you,
It is amazing to me how accomplished you are at this. I'm only starting to train to survive my first triathlon. Survive and maybe finish.
When I can run the marathon portion. THAT will be the hardest thing to push for. You are my inspiration for that. You didn't know that did you?
WOW - Fierce.
For all you almost empty nesters - my mom waited 20 years to tell me how difficult it was when I (only daughter) went away to college. She told me the only way she got through was by telling herself I would be home in June, and then I stayed at school the summer after my Freshman year and went into a co-op program. Well, the summer after she told me, we went to Australia on a 6-week cross US trip to make up for that summer.
It's great any of you almost-empty nesters are thinking about this and planning for it. Kids just think you will be happy that you don;t have to taxi them around anymore. Many do not get that you will miss them terribly.

Thanks JB
I have something to tell you that is embarrassing to me. I'm sorry for accidentally dumping you and Grim and 6 others on my friend list. It was not personal. I was going to send you guys a joke on PM. I hit the wrong box, and that fast, gone.
I was stupid to not clear it up sooner. I feel like a bad friend for this. I'm sorry.
You really do resemble Liz Taylor.....Hilton, Wilding, Todd, Fisher, Burton, Warner, Fortensky.
On a side note, when I was younger, I remember hearing of a recent conversation between Michael Jackson and Ms Taylor. He would refer to her as "Lizard-breath" for Elizabeth. And she would ask him why wasn't he at K-Mart, as she had heard that there was an ad for "boy's pants, half off today only"!
Gary, you have done such an amazing job. I am so proud of you, and all that you have accomplished. I wish I had some great words of advice about your children leaving the nest, and going to college. I do not have children, so I can't know how you feel. But what I can say is that, if a parent's job is to raise their children to be successful, responsible and good caring adults, then I suspect you have done your job well.
