QOTD: I'm not super picky on brand- usually buy colgate or crest or sensodyne but it HAS to be gel! I hate the paste toothpaste and don't ever use it unless i have no other choice. DH buys the paste so we each have our own.

This week is supposedly going to be less crazy than last. My plan is to take as much yoga this week as I can since my unlimited month runs out on the 3rd of June.

We are doing a team building event on Thursday so will be driving in that day. I had a choice to fly to dayton for the week but decided to go to the local office that day instead.

Yesterday I put two metal patio chairs together and helped on the deck. I did not get to the grocery store.

Weight is still up a pound and 1/2 from 5/4. It is just holding on and getting so irritating.

Food plan for today:

B: 3 oz ham and decaf (out of miralax)

Time since surgery- 5 months

Calories under 780, protein over 63, carbs under 55

OUT of Miralax????   I am so sorry, that would scare me if I ran out! lol

I know- 3rd day today of not pooping. I'm going after work...

I get the medium bottle and it lasts a month- so it was time to buy more and didn't get to the store yesterday.

Do you think Miralax is better than the Colace/stool softener pills? I've been taking 2 morning and night to be semi-regular...

Hands down Miralax is wayyyyy better than Colace/stool softener.

I used the Colace/Senekot right after surgery and never really got relief. As soon as you all turned me onto Miralax I have been using that and I even stocked up on it when I was in Florida two weeks ago, it is amazing!!!!!!

One of my best girlfriends who has NOT had WLS her and I were chatting two weeks ago about pooping (yes the things we discuss with our BFFs right) and I told her how regular the Miralax made me, she also has major problems going to the bathroom as well.  So I gave her a few scoops of my Miralax to try, she has texted me DAILY to tell me that I am her saviour and that she can't get over how great the Miralax is and now she is regular.  Oh for my Canadian peeps, its called "Restoralax" up here, its pretty much the same stuff, you can get it at Walmart, its not cheap but I will pay anything to keep me regular.

How much do you use and how often... and when? Timing is important...LoL

I use a "cap" full DAILY.  And now I "go" daily.  No gas, no passing wind, no cramps, nothing. Just easy peasy in the bathroom 

The bottle comes with a nice big 'cap' that when turned upside down I just put the powder Miralax in the cap, dump that into my morning coffee mix it up and drink. I am very sensitive to taste and texture and I can't taste this and there is no texture, it totally dissolves in my coffee. After I mix up the miralax I add my milk and away I go.  You must get yourself a bottle STAT. When I first started to use it I think it took me one dose or two to get started but as long as I use it daily, I go daily.  Best of luck, its a miracle this stuff in my opinion.  

ETA: I drink it in my morning coffee because that is convenient for me, but you could drink it at night if that suits you better.  Just work it into your day.

Hmmmm....maybe coffee is the way to go. I had tried it, but just mixed it in water, and wasn't really stomaching it.....
