What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Another week begins...le sigh. Do you ever just know that the week is going to be a loooong one? That's how I feel and it's only 8am. LOL
So, this weekend was essentially one long string of terrible choices. I had great menus planned, and managed to not stick to them in spectacular fashion. Instead I ate a lot of **** (carbs). Actually, I just ate a lot in general. So, I'm putting it out there, being accountable and refocusing my efforts. I've gotten a little lazy, if I'm being honest with myself. Anyway, I think today's menu is a pretty good one, so send a little mojo my way that I can stick to it. I need all the strength I can get!
QOTD! What's your preferred toothpaste? And go! I use Colgate Optic White and while I like it just fine, I'm still waiting for a miracle after years of smoking and coffee. LOL My husband uses that Arm & Hammer baking soda crap. Gross.

Ooh your breakfast shake sounds really yummy!
Big news--this morning the scale shows me below my lowest goal of 114. What the what!?! Crazy that I can still drop 2.5 lbs in a week at 10 months out and at a low weight. Have I said how grateful I am for this surgery lately?
I'm sitting at the car dealership with fingers and toes crossed that the squeak in my brakes is not the expensive kind of squeak... I have no idea if I'm going to be sitting here for an hour or a day, so I just brought a bunch of snacky stuff with me.
QOTD: Meh, I don't really care as long as it's minty fresh. I really dislike Tom's though. And once I accidentally bought a kind that has pink grapefruit flavor. That's nasty too...
B: Fit Frappe Mocha with decaf
S: Sargento Balanced Break
L: Special K protein bar
S: Cheese stick
D: Teriyaki chicken

Morning y'all, AV I totally understand bad choices. Last week was nurses week and of course we had food every day. And by food I mean pizza, cake, cupcakes, pineapple upside down cake. Oh my god it was so good but so bad. I did pretty good considering. Each day I had one piece of pizza and then came Friday. I had 2 count them 2 cupcakes with an inch of butter cream frosting. And the sad thing was they weren't even that good but I still ate them. My nurse manager on Thursday bought each one of us a Nothing Bundt cake and of course it was in my fav pecan praline. I did give that away I was strong Thursday but by the time Friday rolled around I caved. Oh well it's another week right?

If this weather doesn't shape up soon, I'm going to lose my mind! We went up North Friday after work, spent the night, and got up early the next day for a charity trail ride (about 500 people on ATVs, quads, dirt bikes, jeeps). It had rained the day before so the trails were really muddy (of course the kids loved that part). It was so cold though, we only ended up doing the first leg (still 3 hours) We were supposed to stay another night, but everything was cold and damp so we decided to pack it up and head home. Despite the crappy weather, we still had a pretty good time! Since I didn't get to post on Friday, I've included my outdoor activity picture from this weekend :)
QOTD: we use FOUR different toothpastes in our house. I use the Costco brand, my husband uses Sensadyne (spelling?), the oldest kid uses the Crest Sparkle kids stuff, and the baby uses the fluoride free training toothpaste. I accidentally use my sons toothpaste more often than I'd like to admit to, yuck!
