what white dove said- but if your plan allows it it was helpful to eat plain greek yogurt (no sugar). it helps break up the gas

I do not think that anyone can say exactly when your gas will go away as we are all different. WALK WALK WALK WALK..... I was doing this for months after surgery and burping still but the good news is that it does really go away. You may not feel comfortable doing this since you are only a week out but I also found raising my arms to stretch help me relieve the gas.
