Liquid diet, so hungry

I'm on my pre op liquid diet, and I'm SO hungry!! My family was having pizza and it was killing me. 

Is is it going to be this hard post op? Will I be this hungry?

No. I didn't even want to drink post op. Stay strong! 

Compared to pre-op, post-op is a breeze.  I was never hungry....had to set my watch to eat.  I'm seven months out now and have no desire to eat pizza or a burger (and I NEVER missed a meal before surgery).

Hang in there.  You'll make it.

How many days in are you? The hunger should not be so prominent past the first 4-- cravings will be a beast no matter what. 

Post op it won't be a concern at all, even the smell of my favorite foods turned me off post op 

I had mostly shakes Thursday, all liquids yesterday. I'm having surgery Monday morning. My surgeon doesn't require a pre op liquid diet. My hiatal hernia has gotten worse and he wants me to have only liquid now. Maybe the hunger will get better?

Good morning! Seemed much easier to me after surgery. If you can try and keep yourself busy this weekend it might help, just my 2-cents :)  

It will be nine years in October and I have never been hungry after my surgery.

Dang, I want to be you!!

no it won't be this hard post op. I am six years out and never hungry. 

Drink constantly now. It was no unusual for me to drink three or four cups of broth in a row and I would eat a whole large box of sugar get jello in one sitting . It helped me and won't hurt you.

I'm just so excited for you! Monday! So close!
