Pouch Feels Bad
Does anyone have days where everything just seems to go down feeling like sandpaper? It's only been today, but I'm two months out and it's the first time it's happened. It's kinda weird, so I'm curious.
I have good pouch and bad pouch days, still. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it.

Thanks. I just had some chicken breast for lunch and it went down like sandpaper at first, then a few bites in it was fine.
It does happen for some, myself included, but the good pouch days far outweigh the bad pouch days.
My bad pouch days are when I feel "pukey"...for lack of a better term. Food will go down okay, but once it's down, it doesn't sit well. I've learned to take it in stride. I'll totally take a day of feeling like that over a lifetime of how I felt before. ( I think a lot of us probably feel that way. )
I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

For sure I have those days. I am 2.5 years post op and I have big pouch days, small pouch days, days I am not hungry at all, days I am ravenous. I tend to eat the same thing during the work week (can of tuna for for breakfast & lunch) for 99% of the time I never have problems with the tuna, then there will be days when I can barely eat it, it feels like a brick going down. Not sure what that is all about, its weird. So don't be surprised if it happens again in the future

I'm 31/2 years out and I still occasionally have days where nothing tastes good and my stomach just feels icky. Not often but occassionally. Some days I am ravenous and other days nothing sounds or tastes good. But I am SO much healthier it's all worth it. I rarely eat chicken breast now because I do better with the more moist breast meat. There isn't much difference calorie wise between breast and thigh and if I have to sauce breast meat to be able to tolerate it I'm adding calories there too.
