I have to admit that I never open this thread mostly because I eat the same thing every day and I'm boring. I hope I'm still welcome. Today I opened it on a whim and saw the outside pic request. Perfect timing! I had gone on the hike of my life last weekend. Two and a half hours, 500 feet up (and back down) around Devil's Lake. It almost KILLED my husband but I never even broke a sweat. I wanted to do it again the next day. He rolled his eyes at me. It was SO BEAUTIFUL!
QOTD.... I have so many candles around my house, I wouldn't even notice.
What I'm eating...SSDD.... except I will finish the left overs from yesterday's visit to the Irish Pub. Corned beef and cabbage with the most AMAZING horseradish sauce.
My hubby on top of the ridge. I think that may be a grimace, not a smile.
Glad to see you back, and you are always welcome. Love the pics! The one at the top of the stairs is fantastic. Don't you love it when you have more stamina then people that used to run circles around you? I admit I am petty enough to internally gloat like crazy when that happens. Don't be a stranger!

Rocky I am so glad you jumped in. Love the pics. so beautiful...and the grimace, hahahaha....

Good morning and happy friday! Well, it looks like it's official and I won't be the VSG interloper on this post anymore. I had a Dr. appointment yesterday and after a bunch of back and forth, my doctor told me that he can't make a decision for me, but if I was his sister, I'd be having surgery. The acid is starting to affect my ability to swallow and that freaks me (and my surgeon) out. We just have to decide when and submit for reapproval again. Just think, pretty soon you guys won't have to read the adventures of Stacy and her acid anymore!
KQOTD: Well, if I didn't trip over my dog and break a bone, I'd make my way to my spare room and grab the battery powered lantern that I know is there and hope that the battery isn't dead. Unlike AV, I have matches and one of those lighter thingies, so I'd be good with candles also. I hate having no power and don't have a crank radio. Because of that, I'm ADD about keeping my cell phone charged so that way I could at least have music. I've been told on numerous occasions that I'm killing my battery because I don't let it drain all the way down before charging but I don't care. Having silence and no way to communicate freaks me out too much.
Time since surgery: 1 day into year 3. So my QOTD - when I do my conversion to bypass should I start counting my post op time again, or stick with my original date . . . I don't know that I want to be a newbie again!
Food plan: yesterday started out great, but then went downhill when I hit the party at Downtown Disney (well it went downhill at dinner before the party, but . . . Bacon wrapped shrimp and crawfish mashed potatoes do not make a successful post surgery plan!)
B: 2 eggs scrambled, 1 oz cheddar and tbs of pesto (my surgeon told me that after surgery my capacity would be 1/2 of that . . . but that I'm unlikely to lose any more weight. What???)
L: Turkey and cheese roll ups unless I decide to go for a walk
D: New York Strip
S: light and fit, homemade latte with 4 oz fairlife milk
Totals: low so I'll need to supplement Cal: 851; Protein: 87g; Fat: 39g; Carbs 17g
Oh, photo friday: Since I was photophobic before surgery, I don't have many photos and really none showing outdoor activity. I was going to post a running photo that I don't think I've posted before, but I can't get the add photo thing to work so . . . Update. Photo worked! This was turkey trot 2015
