Surgery date moved up to Monday
Complications with my hernia have moved my surgery up by three weeks to this Monday. Suddenly I'm on liquids and I wasn't ready for this!!!
So advice please... What should I pack to take to the hospital? I have the vitamins and an assortment of protein drinks for after but hadn't considered what to take to the hospital????
Sorry to hear about your complications! :( But hey! We have the same surgery date!
I'm taking sleeping shorts (for modesty sake), lip balm, gas-x strips, phone and charger, extra pillow, coloring book and pencils, grippy slippers for walking the halls, and they're making me bring the dreaded CPAP. I plan to wear home the same clothes.

Fantastic .
Hospital: chopstick, toothbrush, pillow for drive home - so you can hug it to your belly.. Phone charger. Very comfortable clothes - at least one size bigger that you need now... . Easy to put on shoes.
I had more stuff but only needs those things...

You HAVE to take comfy slide on shoes with a non slip bottom to get your hall walking done and get rid of that gas !!

Everyone over packs. Wear loose clothes to the hospital, and the same clothes home. Phone and charger. They'll supply anything else you'll want or need. You won't feel like doing much.

You'll be glad you brought your CPAP. I had my surgery on 4/12. I was told to bring my CPAP. Don't worry about the distilled water. They'll have plenty at the hospital. They added pure oxygen to the mask connection and it helped me sleep much better. I was so glad they made me bring it. Other than that I only brought some grippy slippers, a pair of shorts and a shirt to wear home and my electric toothbrush, phone, charger and my Kindle. I didn't need anything else. I didn't bring any protein drinks or vitamins. They'll provide whatever you need.
