I suspect that if I was really clever, I would have named him something like Sir Pouchs-worth the VI or something... but thank you all the same!

In addition to the need to distinguish the pouch from the remnant stomach as others have already pointed out, before I came here to OH, the surgeon at the original informational meeting I went to called it a "pouch" and called the stomach remaining with the DS a "sleeve" (this was before VSG was available as a standalone procedure), so when that is the terminology the surgeons use, the patients do too.
