Good morning, I so cannot wait for the weekend, not that I have anything special planned, but just to not have to get up at 5:00 a.m.
Thank goodness the weather is finally turning springlike. So nice yesterday, hubby and I took a nice long walk after dinner, then sat outside for a while when we returned.
QOTD: I also broke my foot as a child, I was 4 and my teenage sister was using an old fashioned Underwood typewriter, the big heavy metal kind, she had it on a small table and I walked by, knocked the table over and it fell right on my foot. I was too small for crutches so I got piggybacks for quite a while. Oh and I broke my thumb when my oldest was little, she and hubby were coming down the slide at the playground, I forgot to remove my hand and hubby's foot came down on my thumb.

Not the best choices today, worked out longer than usual this morning and rushed out without breakfast, thank goodness for Thursday morning meetings and bagels, even though I should never eat them. Tomorrow will be better!
I have broken both feet and also my left leg. All three were just walking and twisted my ankle. I had my heel bone broken surgically and numerous toes too, does that count? My insurance paid money for those! I had hammertoes (severe) and a contracture of my ankle and they broke 3 toes on each foot and taped them so they would fuse flat. It was very painful at the time and I couldn't put weight on the heel for six weeks but it was worth it because now I can walk totally pain free. Post op 44 months and weight 121.4 today. Doctor gave me a great report yesterday and I get to come off one blood pressure pill. My weight has been almost exactly the same now for 3 years. That never happened in my adult life before surgery. It all makes me so thankful for my surgery! Lily and I have already walked our 3.2 miles and I will do 30 minutes on the bike at some point. 50 sit ups are done and at some point I will also do my 50 pushups. I am truly amazed every day at how great it feels to be active. So much better than I could ever have imagined! Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chili D 1 natural hot dog 1/2 c wax beans S mission one chocolate brownie bar. Have a great day everyone and make some wise choices!
Oh I forgot about my poor broken toes. Broke the baby toe on the left foot 15 years ago on a child's wooden bead maze, I think I broke the two middle toes (didn't have it checked out) last summer when I hit the ottoman in my den. Last month I banged up the same damn baby toe on a weight. I'm pretty sure I rebroke it,but there is really nothing that can be done about it. I'm finally wearing cute shoes again after 4 weeks (or is it 5?).
Good morning! I hadn't broken any bones until almost 4 years ago when I was in a car accident. Broke my left knee and foot. Was pretty minor all things considered, no surgery necessary. But not as fun as an ice cream truck either!
B- strawberry premier protein shake
L- 1/2 c chunky beef tip vegetable soup, puréed
S- 1/4 c cottage cheese
D- 1/2 c potato soup
S-? Dunno. Maybe another shake, usually am not hungry though
Cals- looks around 600
the happy news is that I lost 6 pounds last week and 4 so far this week. Yay!

Yessssss we made it to Thursday! YAHOOOOOOOOO! AV your dinner sounds awesome, getting ready for CAMAW I see
I LOL'd at your "running for the ice cream truck" and fell, that is sooo funny, sad but funny!!!!!!!!!
Oh we might be buying me a car this weekend. I went yesterday after work and got an oil change & my summer tires put on my 2005 Nissan Altima and the guy comes out and gives me this "list" of what is wrong with my car. This is a very trust worthy mechanic, we have known him for years and he would not try to hose us. So I went home and said to hubby, I think its time to retire my baby and get me something new. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my car, its a four door Sedan. Hubby wants to see me in a small commuter car (I commute an hour each way on the highway to work each day) and I am having anxiety over giving up my four door sedan and I don't know why? Hubs is trying to talk me into a Ford Focus, or Honda Civic, or Mazda 3, or Toyota Corolla. I am am not sure how I feel about those cars, they all seem small to me!!! Since I drive a ton of kms every day can you guys give me some suggestions on your make of cars that are great on gas and get excellent gas mileage and has decent horsepower as I need that on the highway to pass the 18 wheeler trucks. Suggestions please!!!
QOTD: Yes I broke my right ankle while roller blading when I was 25 years old. It was horrible! I fell as I was about to cross the road and I felt my ankle snap in the rollar blade. A lady stopped her car and helped me up and was all like "OMG are you okay, do you need help" and I was so embarrassed that I fell that I jumped up and said "Oh I am fine, thanks anyway" and she drove off. So this was before Cell Phones people! I had no wallet or ID on me or anything so as soon as this lady drove away the pain hit me. I sat down under a tree and started to cry! I pulled off my blades and sure enough my ankle and foot were already turning blue and swelling. So I did what any normal person would, I walked home on my broken ankle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got home, balling my eyes out, my ankle the size of a watermelon and my parents rushed me to the Emerg, xrays, and a cast for 8 weeks. Oh did I mention it was a few days before my 25th bday which is mid June I had a cast on my leg for the whole summer, I was livid, it really cut into my dancing and clubbing time and meeting boys LOL LOL
