Good morning AV. I have a housework/yardwork weekend planned as well. My house is in such desperate need of a full purging that I have been turning down offers to make plans for the weekend. When did I turn into such a socialite? Sheesh, first world problems indeed.

So, last night I mentioned to my hubby that Dr. Nowzaradan was going to be at the conference, and how could it would be to go. We had discussed my going to the conference a few months ago, but had decided to put it off until next year. Well, I had let the subject drop, and was poking around on OH, when my husband started asking me about the dates, etc. So he found that he could book my flight to LAX with 1/3 of his frequent flier miles, and I am staying at a differnt hotel, but not paying a penny because he's using his points for that as well. All I have to pay for is a car, my ticket to the conference and any food. Of course I'll be sticking money away for fun stuff as well. I am so freaking excited about going. I hope anyone out in the area who can make it to the conference will come out and hang with me.

on to your QOTD: I have only broken one bone in my life, and that was when I was 12 years old. I believe some of you have heard this story in the past, but here goes. I was 12, playing in a swimming pool with my friends. We were using a NERF soccer ball and pushing it to the bottom of the pool. It was one of those 4ft above ground numbers. So, when we pushed it to the bottom of the pool it would mostly fill up with water, but NERF has a lot of air still in it, so when we let go it would shoot up out of the water. Some dumbass 12 year old girl tried to catch it on the way down. A NERF soccer ball filled with water isn't light, and it came down on my hand pretty hard and bent my fingers back. It hurt pretty bad,and I thought initially I had just sprained it, but 6 hours later it was swelling more and was horribly painful. So, at 12 I got a cast on my left hand in June that had to be there the whole summer. It was back when the only had plaster casts, and that thing stank so bad. After about 3 weeks my cast had deteriorated so much I was able to pull it off and go swimming, then stick it back on without my mom knowing.

Plan for the day:

B: 1 egg, 1oz turkey sausage, 1 slice velveeta, and coffee with cream and splenda

L: Boneless skinless chicken with cheese and bbq sauce on 1/2 a flat out Tomato wrap.

D: chicken sausage and some sort of veggie

S: Light and Fit Greek and if I need a snack in the evening I'll have some leftover chicken breast from the fridge.

these challenges aren't particularly hard, I just have to cut out the little bit of carbs that I have now.  It's really a texture issue with me, so I'll have to really get creative with it and make crispy cheese chips, or crisped pepperoni for a crunch.  Now I can use a crunchy veg like a pickle or something if I get the urge.

I am so close that I feel I should HAVE to go and have talked to my hubby about it but didn't want to spend so much money for hotels and such when it wouldn't be for a family vacation. Now though....I need to reconsider!!!
