What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Almost the weekend, you guys! squeee! This week has been dragging, fo sho, so I can't wait for it to be over. I say that I'm going to be living the fab life on Sat./Sun., when really I'm just going to be cleaning the house and mowing the lawn and catching up on laundry. Adulting is sad. LOL
QOTD! Have you ever broken a bone? I broke my foot when I was six. In true fat kid fashion, I was running for the ice cream truck, tripped over a parking space bumper thing and fell, landing squarely on my right foot. I remember being really mad that I didn't get ice cream. HA!

Good Morning!
Yep. Adulting really sucks sometimes. It's sad when I'm all "Ohhh no plans this weekend, I can really scrub the bathroom floors and finish the piles of laundry that have been there for 3 weeks". At least no one can tell me when to go to bed anymore :)
So yesterday I had a meeting with a colleague to work on a project, but said I had to pause at 10A to get online for presale tickets. She rattled off some upcoming big concerts/events thinking I was cool or something and going to see one of those. Nope. None of those. It was for Paw Patrol Live tickets for the kids...don't be too jealous
QOTD: I have broken two bones - the first time I was little and barely remember (I fell off a chair in the kitchen). The second time I fell off my bike at Girl Scout camp. It broke/snapped just below my shoulder and had to be reset, it was the worst pain ever. It hurt far
more than both of my C-sections, RNY, and my tonsil removal. And the BS part was they couldn't even cast it, so my friends had nothing to sign!

You first few lines made me laugh, I too get super excited when we have no plans for the weekend only to realize crap that means I now actually have the time to pay attention to my house, cleaning and all that, it really sucks LOL
I totally think its important to get tickets to events that you know will be sold out. My Boss is a huge concert goer, and she will schedule her meetings around days that she knows the tickets go on sale. When Adele was coming to Toronto she made sure she had no meetings at 10am when the tickets went on sale so she could get online right away, so yes I get that.

Your boss sounds like me. I do the same thing. For The Desert Trip, I cleared my calendar at 10:00, and then had to have my Assistant reschedule meetings throughout the morning and afternoon because it took me 4 1/2 hours to finally get in the site (ugh). I did give an appropriately vague reason for having to cancel/reschedule the meetings.

Today is Parker's 5th birthday!! He is getting so big, and ...I don't even know.
Here is what I looked like 5 years ago! I showed the boys this pic and Elliot said "Oh Mommy, you tummy ache???" HAHAHAHA
QOTD: Nope I have never broken a bone. I have sprained my ankle a few times, and jammed fingers playing sports. But thankfully no breaks.
