It's been 11 years and still at goal.

I no longer frequent obesity help as I did for many years because I haven't the time or the inclination to deal the the regulars little clique. But I do try to check in and see if there are new members who want to see what rny looks like after years of compliance to a healthy clean eating plan.  I keep my calories down as I grow older because otherwise I would gain weight, so I eat around 1000-1200 calories most days. I still am wearing some of my same clothes I bought back in 2007 when I made goal.  It's fun to see clothes go out of style instead of become too small.

Heres are pics of me from the last few months since my 11 year wls anniversary.  And honestly I am not posting for attention only to show long term success is possible.  If you have nothing nice to say please keep it to yourself.

Any questions about being this far out, please ask.

Thanks.  I try hard every day to eat right and remember why I needed surgery in the first place.  I was not happy my husband bought those Easter bunnies for me, I took them and froze them and ate only a small portion each day until they were gone.  Chocolate is a weakness so I have to treat it with respect otherwise it gets out of hand.

Good luck on your journey.

Chocolate and cheetos are my deadly triggers too. I swear there must be opiates in that stuff!

I used to love Cheetos too, it's been many years since I have had them.

Congratulations Heidi

I am glad to see you are still wearing your boots and is that a new guy in your life?  You look happy and healthy and that is what it's all about.

Thanks Kathy, I got married last year and moved to San Diego.  My husband was seeking wls surgery through this site and we became friends and met after he had surgery.  We have been married a year at the end of June and have been doing a great deal of traveling and headed to Africa next week on a photographic safari.  I have been rocking my cowboy boots for a few years and they will accompany me on my next trip also.

Hope all is going well with you, I heard that terrible news about your husband, I am so very sorry.

I love happy endings!  How wonderful for you!  I ended up in NorCal to be close to my son and his family.  Life is full of changes.  I am so jealous of your travel. I hope I can do so someday.  PLEASE share your photos when you get back.  A safari is on my bucket list.  Thank you, he had his health issues but I am still in shock after losing him after so many years.

Stay in touch!
