Morning AV, it's like 55 here this morning and I had the windows down a bit on the back roads on my way in. It's overcast and may possibly rain today, but I feel great. I honestly think I feel great because I made it to the gym this morning and busted ass. I had an incredible work out and feel great.

My gym started a challenge this week. 1500 push-ups in 30 days. So the challenge is 50 push ups a day. I did it on Monday which was the first day, and missed yesterday. I did it today, but I need to make up for yesterday so I did 30 more when I got home. I'll squeeze in 20 more throughout the day. I do 10 at a time, and I do girly pushups from my knees. At the gym this morning we were doing them with them with our feet on a step. I did 10 that way and moved back to the floor, that was HARD. We worked core and cardio today and I gotta tell you I feel PUMPED. okay. Sorry about all the endorphins leaking out, lol.

Does anyone want to do the challenge with me? No prize (I think I'll get a bracelet from my gym when it's over, but I can't really offer a prize here, lol)

QOTD. I have to say it's any Monty Python movie. I mean, come on, every one of their movies is absolutely ridiculous, but I LOVE THEM! I will have to watch The Holy Grail this weekend, it makes me happy. BTW, I haven't seen Empire Records for a very, very long time. I loved that movie when I was younger, since I was in the demographic it was made for.

Slayer, Anthrax and Death Angel are coming in concert in September. I really want to go, but my hubby HATES that music. Wondering if I should take my oldest kid. I'll have to ask him if he wants to go. I've seen Anthrax before and I enjoyed the show (it was litterally 20 years ago, I was 23 the last time I saw them.)

B: 2 eggs, 1oz turkey sausage, mushrooms and onions with a slice of velveeta, coffee with cream and splenda. i was extra hungry after my workout this morning and added the extra egg.

L: leftovers. Chicken curry over steamed cauliflower

D: 4oz boneless chicken breast with bbq sauce.

S: light and fit greek and a quest protein shake

I just changed the time because I saw that my gym posted on facebook, it's only a 30 day challenge.  50 push ups a day for 30 days!

I bow to you!  There is one exercise I HATE and that is push ups, I would rather do 5000 squats until I puke before I would do a push up, so you go girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ewww, squats suck. They are the same to me, they all suck! I think I'm going to add sit ups into my challenge.  50 sit ups a day as well. I need the ab work.

I can't do push ups because I have a messed up shoulder, but I can plank.  Although when I could do push ups I would have agreed with Daisy . . . I'd rather do squats

Oh goodness, I think I LOVE planks!  We did some planking this morning, I only did 30 seconds each set but for some reason being on the floor planking makes me sweat more.

I am shuddering thinking of squats.  I ran that 5k after taking nearly a week off of at the gym, and then Monday was an "ass-ton" of squats, and I honestly was so sore yesterday that I was hobbling around.  I'm sore again today, but not nearly as much as I was yesterday.  I likely won't be able to hit the gym in the morning because it's my hubby's day to work out before work, but I will be doing my push-ups and sit-ups at home.  Maybe I'll add 50 squats to the mix.

Have you done "plank jacks"  I try to do 30 of those every morning after my 40 pushups and a couple of planks.  BTW, I do a modified push up, I cannot do a real one, so either on my knees or off of a stability ball.
