what do I do to get things started again?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling a little frustrated. I am 7months post op and not loosing any weight. I haven't lost anything in the last 6 weeks. Is this part of the typical trend? I was loosing a couple of pounds a week and the week before my six month date it stopped. I lost one pound the next week and now nothing. I use my fitness pal and keep my calories under 900 and at least 60 grams of protein a day. The only thing I changed was that before I was walking daily and now I've been unable to do so. Please give me some advice but be nice. I am already down about the current progress. I have still continued to loose a few inches so that is great. Thanks everyone.
Stick to your plan and you will continue to lose weight. It was not unusual for me to go that long with nothing, and then have a big drop, and then go 4-6 weeks without a loss, followed by another big drop. If you are honest to yourself about what you are eating (measuring, weighing and tracking), and are staying on plan, you will lose.
Height: 5'7". HW: 299, Program starting weight: 290, SW: 238, CW 138 - 12 pounds under goal!
I think at 6 months my loss changed from around 10lbs a month to 5lbs a month and I had a few long stretches of just nothing at all then I'd drop 5lbs in a week.
You say you are keeping your calories under 900, but are you keeping your carb count low as well? I have to keep mine under at least 50g a day or I'm not losing at all.
Glad you are losing inches! that does show progress, but I know how it feels when you just want to see the scale move again.

ifbyouvstill not losing, it means you are eating too many calories. Try dropping to 7-800 and see if you start to lose again. You have actually gone into maintenance at 900 cal
While my weight loss didnt stall at 6 months, I REALLY had to pick up the exercise. Part of me didnt want to, and I had to tell myself, "You get ONE honeymoon period for this surgery. YOU CAN NOT FAIL!!!"
If walking is difficult for you, you can still to leg extensions in your chair. You can still work your arms.
Here are some suggested exercises for people in wheel chairs. Take a look. Use what you like, put away the rest.
But you only got one honeymoon period. Dont waste it.

Three pounds below Goal!!! Yay !
I'm sorry I wasn't clear. I am walking, just not my 5 miles daily. My daughter had a baby and I had to take over her dance studio for her. I am working 2 full time jobs right now so my time has changed to where I'm unable to walk as much. I am able to walk and do a little each day, just not the same. She will be back to work soon and hopefully I will be able to cut back on the time I have to spend there helping her.
