David Cassidy was one of my first celebrity crushes. Lily and I already have our 3.2 miles in for the day as they are saying possible rain again here. I will also do 30 minutes on the bike at some point. Post op 44 months and weight at 120.8 today. Hubby and I watched a bunch of truly amazing people on TV last night on the Invictus Games. It really was humbling to see the spirit and drive these wounded vets had as they competed in paralympic type games. They had rowing, biking, wheelchair rugby and powerlifting on last night. They also do track and field events. It made me feel lazy to see that people with no legs were pedaling hand cycles far faster than I do with two legs. I think it's on tonight too so check it out if you can. Here's the eats for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 1 c chili D 31/2 oz strip steak 1/2 c green beans S mission one cookies and cream protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices!
Morning AV. What a horrible mistake to make with the hot coco *wink, wink*.
I got the pictures from my race on Sunday last night and I just have to share. I know it's not photo friday, but I refuse to be caged up like a bird, I must be free with my photo posting! Anyway, here I am in all my out of shape glory. I particularly love this first one where I can gasping for breath and gripping my pants as I cross the finish line!
You can tell this next one was early in the race because I'm just slightly ahead of the 11 minute mile pacers. I ran at a 14.11 minute mile for this race, and my goal is to get down to 12 minute mile so my finish would be around 37 or 38 minutes.
Anyway, I was excited when they put out the pictures last night. I will admit that I saw the photographer in most of them and made sure I was actually running when I passed them, lol. Talk about motivation. I ran into my trainer and some girls from the gym at the race so here is a pre-race selfie. They all finished at 30 minutes or less, but I'm not ashamed of my time at all. I look back on the last year and I'm amazed at how far I've come. I am so grateful to be able to have this surgery and change my life. I look at home much more active I am with my son, and how much more happy I am overall.
Here's my food for the day:
B: 1 egg, 1.5oz cooked turkey sausage, 1 slice velveeta. coffee with cream and splenda
L: 2oz turkey with some cheddar cheese on half a flat out tomato wrap, and a dill pickle
D: I was supposed to make a corned beef in the slow cooker but it's still sitting in my fridge, so I don't actually know what I'm going to do for dinner tonight. I think this is the first time in forever that I don't actually have a plan.
S: Light and fit greek yogurt
Totals without dinner:
Calories 535 Protein 51 (need protein forward dinner) carbs 22 fat 29
Have a great day everyone!
OH, the QOTD! I had a huge crush on Simon LeBon from Duran Duran. And I will admit Val Kilmer in Real Genius got my motor running as a tween girl. Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street. Meeeow!
