Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a lovely weekend and celebrated Mother's Day with the people you love!  Mother's Day is always bittersweet for me now, as my own mother passed before I became a mom myself.  She would have LOVED my Scoobs, for real.  And I see a lot of her in him; not only in resemblance, but also in his sense of humor and even some of his facial expressions.  Which I guess is the universe's way of keeping her close to me.  But I digress...

My own Mom's Day was pretty great, mostly because my husband and son worked outside all day so I was pretty much swimming in Lake Me for the day.  LOL  And the day before, Matt took me to this little farm stand/flower garden/local goods place that's right up the road that I've always wanted to go to but never have.  He let me get whatever I wanted, so yay me!  I got tomato chutney and carrot cake jam (just as good as it sounds), like 3 different local cheeses and a beautiful hanging basket of purple geraniums.  I totes want to go back there.  And even though you're supposed to get breakfast in bed on Mom's Day, I made breakfast for my guys, because they're the reason I'm a mom in the first place.  HA!  I had gotten the rest of my sweepstakes swag the day before, so I made protein pancakes, recipe a la Premier Protein vanilla RTD shake, and they were aca-mazing.  I recommend highly.  I also recommend hiding any Premier Protein products from my husband and son.  Vultures.  LMAO

Time since surgery:  21+ months

B:  coffee, Premier Protein pancake (holla!) and a tropical fruit Greek yogurt from Aldi.

L:  Buffalo chicken salad makes its triumphant return to my menu.  Huzzah!  I'll be pairing my beloved salad with pork rinds and a cheese stick

D:  chili with some shredded cheddar

TOTALS:  Cals:  860  Protein:  91  Carbs:  49  Fat:  34

Have a great day you guys!

If someone gave me tomato chutney and carrot cake jam, I'd figure it was because they hated me. Just sayin'. But I do need to pick up some geraniums. And I'm glad you had a good mother's day.

Big ribeye sale at the supermarket this week! Just what I needed to flush the excess carbs from my diet. All ribeye, all week! (ARAW)

It also sounds like something an excessively promiscuous person might be diagnosed with.

Good Morning!

I had a really nice Mother's Day weekend. We participated in a "Save the Wildlife" walk at a nature center out by my parents house and had dinner with them. Yesterday morning I didn't sleep in, but amazingly everyone else slept in much longer than usual, so I got some quiet time. I'll take it! My oldest son gave me a Alex & Ani bracelet, and the daycare sent home a really cute art project from the baby. We went to a little breakfast place down the road, they have the best omelettes! For me, is much rather go out for a great breakfast than dinner. Overall it was a great weekend, I'm a pretty lucky lady!

Good morning! Mother's Day was nice. Took mom to her favorite fancy Boston restaurant. It was lovely, but uuugh allergies are killing me, today. I have the worst headache, sore throat, and my left eye is swllen so it looks like someone punched me. For all of you who think I look like a "young Liz Taylor"--today you can picture me as an older Liz...after a bar fight! The only mildly good thing about it is that I have completely lost my appetite.

B: Fit Frappe Mocha with Decaf

S:Greek Yogurt (0% Cherry Fage)

L: Caesar Salad with grilled chicken and shaved Parmesan

S: Deli Turkey and Provolone Cheese Roll Ups

D: ??? If I am feeling ok, Grim and I are going for a walk and dinner. If not, I am going home to curl up and die.

Totals without dinner:

Calories: 607 /Protein: 62 /Carb: 33 /Fat: 27

EDIT: I just realized that I left the house without my packed meals, so instead I'm going to eat a Turkey Stick and Power Crunch Protein Bar that I always keep in my bag in case of emergency!!

I am so with you on the allergies...yesterday I sounded like I had a frog in my throat or something. If you have never tried it, buy some Alaway eye drops for your eyes. They were recommended by my eye doctor and they do help. The only thing she says is once you put them in, leave your eyes gently closed for a minute or two to give them a chance to work.
