Hello and Happy Mother's Day!
I woke up super early and I am trying to tackle a mountainous to-do list before church and a fancy lunch out with mom in Boston. It doesn't help that I woke up with a raging headache. It might finally be allergies, but I was hoping I dodged them this year. Boo!
Yesterday's menu was not quite as planned but I only strayed because we ended up at a different restaurant for lunch. Instead of having my roasted pork with broccolini, I had a 1/2 roast beef sandwich with no bread (and some potato chips--whoops!). Grim was making fun of my broccolini all day, and now it turns out that it's on the menu at the place I'm taking mom today--as long as I get the steak :) So that will be the plan!
QOTD: Inspired by GlitterGirly's comment yesterday--who is your celebrity doppelganger?! As I mentioned, it's weird... but I have had a 5 year stretch where older women (sometimes ones I know and sometimes random people on the street) tell me I look like "a young Liz Taylor". I swear it's happened 8 or 9 times. It's hilarious to me, because I don't feel the least bit glamorous! But it's flattering, that's for sure! Here are me and Liz: you decide!

Glad to see the post was up...since having a bunch of early rises for the surgery, my body clock is on early mode...up around sixish.
Happy to report 9 of the 10lbs I was up are now off... whew. You know it is going to happen but face it that number on the scale is important to us....

It was very relaxing but definitely not your typical massage. It is sort of lymph gland 'trigger points' that they press and massage in circles around. Going again tomorrow...you are supposed to go for several, 2-3 days apart. We will see.

Up at the Crack of smack here too. Took Lily to the park early (600) so I could get it done before church and before more rain comes in. Kind of a gloomy Mothers Day here too with my mom gone and one son in Minneapolis and one in Marietta Georgia. I do get to spend time and have dinner with my MIL,whom I love dearly. And I don't have to cook so that's a plus! Post op 44 months and weight at 120.6 today. Will also ride the bike for 30 minutes this afternoon. Here's the food plan for today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz roast beef with 1/2 c green beans D 1 c chili S mission 1 chocolate brownie protein bar. Have a good Mothers Day everybody and make some smart choices!
