If I remember correctly, I sipped on an ounce of full liquids every hour. Just sip, sip, sip while you're awake if nothing else.
You won't feel restriction because 1) your nerves have been cut and 2) liquids will flow right through your pouch because the pouch, even a new, swollen pouch, is like a funnel.
Is there a nutritionist or dietician you were referred to? I'd definitely put in a call if you have one. If you don't,* you need to find one that works with bariatric patients to give you more pointers. *
When you get further out and on solids, it will be very important to measure and/or weigh your portions. You don't want to eat until you feel full, because that means you've eaten too much. At 8 weeks out, when I settled into my "forever diet", I was eating a 1/2 cup of food total.
