Vits make me wanna yak

i have the bariatric advantage chewable vits with iron. It is ALL I can do to get these down in the mornings. Yesterday I tried to suck on them like sweet tarts. This morning I bit the bullet and just chewed them up. Is there a reason that chewable is better for us? I honestly don't even know if I can finish this bottle.

Does someone have a brand that they love?

I just take regular Centrum 2 a day. I think right after surgery I cut them in half before swallowing. I am supposed to use BA too but I haven't since about one week out and my labs are perfect. They are too expensive and taste disgusting too!

Once you are far enough out you can start taking the non chewable ones. Ask your surgeon when that is.

I think mine was a month or 3 weeks out.

I use Centrum chewables (it was hard to find one with iron) for the multi and bariatric advantage calcium. I still use chewable because I like to take them with food and don't want to try and swallow pills withou****er. Hope you can find something that will work for you.

I swallow mine with water right before I eat. My surgeon allows drinking up until we eat just not after.

I have been taking flinstones so far.  Monday is my 6 week appointment then I start taking prenatal vitamins twice a day - I am looking forward to not chewing up the vits but I also remember from my pregnancies that I hated the after taste of the prenatal vits too....:(

I take the Celebrate Multi Vitamins chewable in Manadarin Orange. They aren't bad.

I struggled with the chewables early out.  everythng is so sweet, and my tastebuds were on overdrive.  i could barely drink protein shakes and was so excited when I was able to start on soft foods because I HATED the shakes.

My tastes have changed since surgery and it's easier to get the chewables down.  I have a hard time remembering to take pills in general, and the yummy calcium chews are motivation enough to remind me to take them.

i was using the celebrate multi vitamins with iron and was able to stomach them up until about i was 2 months out. then every time i would take them i would get dry heaves and just feel sick to my stomach. I have since switched over to the Patch MD mulit vitamin patches.
