Hi, could you please tell me if your chest hurt you and if so for how long after surgery before you stopped hurting? And if you was extremely fatigued and weak? I'm out 5wks post-op from VSG & PARAESOPHAGEAL hernia repair and I'm miserable. I hurt so bad in my chest and have been since day 2 post op. It feels like a pulled muscle type pain and it increases considerably throughout the day and if I happen to bend over for any reason. I would really appreciate a reply thank you.

That may be gas. I was miserable for almost 5 months. Pain when I ate. Lived in mashed potatoes and yogurt. It really did kick my rear end.

I would definitely call your surgeon just to be in the safe side. It was very tough for me. Had stomach pains and ct scan showed small hiatal hernia. Unless I'm miserable I'll just deal with the small hiatal hernia.

Please keep me updated. I'll say a prayer!

Brenda

Thank you so much for replying so soon. I've seen my doctor last week and talked to him about it. He didn't seem to concerned. He put me on Carafate because I started having a burning in my stomach after I would eat, but that didn't seem to help with the chest pain. I think I'm just scare and afraid it's all going to come apart again and have to be revised to the gastric bypass. Thank you so much for your prayers and I'll be sure to keep you up dated.
