I was dumb enough to do it AGAIN.  Remember pogo balls? Those balls with a disk around the outside you could bounce around on? I jumped off the roof with one of those, thinking it would bounce me super high. WRONG.  It busted in half, and hit me in the crotch and I sprained the crap out of my ankle.  I'm so lucky I'm not dead.

Here's one for you.  12 years old, playing in a pool in the summer.  We had a nerf soccer ball and were pushing it all the way to the bottom of the pool until it filled with water then letting it go.  It was flying like 10 to 15 feet in the air, at least.  Well, someone tried to catch it (me) and it hit me in the hand pretty hard.  After about 6 hours it was so swollen I couldn't move my fingers, but we had just assumed it was sprained.  My mom took me for x-rays and a bone in my hand was broken.  Clean break.  So, I got a cast on it.  It was mid-June and that plaster cast was on it all summer.  I couldn't get it wet and it was stinky.  After about 3 weeks it had deteriorated enough that I could pull the cast off, go swimming at my friends house and then slip it back on.  Dumb kids.

Morning Mama! I hope things are good with AV and that she is calmly sipping on something tasty with her feet up in fuzzy slippers!

I have a teenager. He's 16 going on 10... in some ways. In some ways he's very mature, lol. He's pretty much a homebody, so he doesn't get into shenanigans often. I am thankful that he's a good kid, because I remember when I was his age and I won't lie and tell you I'd probably be having an heart attack if I thought that he was doing the things that I was doing at that age.

QOTD: Well, I have done A LOT of stupid things in my youth. I started drinking/smoking when I was like 13 years old. My mother allowed me to smoke cigarettes when I turned 15. Single mom who smoked just didn't really have the energy to stop me or fight about it. I never did get arrested for anything, but I SHOULD have many, many times. I think that the stupidest thing I've ever done was putting myself in vulnerable situations with boys. I was definitely abused and taken advantage of more than once. Why do we do the things that we do? It's actually painful to remember what I allowed when I was young.

Anyway, nevermind that, let me get to the *****ing! I am back in "hate my job mode" today. I'm like 30 seconds from walking, and honestly the only reason I'm staying at this point is because I don't want to **** my coworkers over too badly. we had a meeting yesterday and I sat through it and combed through all of the work that needs to be done and this morning I got an angry email from a client because I'm not working on his project right this very minute. I have no time to get it all done. I've become so jaded that my productivity is for **** and I dread coming in every day. I went through a patch when things were okay, but I knew this would happen again once people started looking for their work. We have 3 people working on the work of at least 8 people. My boss does the work of 3 herself and my coworker and I struggle to keep up with what we have. We get no help from corporate and I feel like I'm drowning. They won't allow a new hire, and not even a temp for the little stuff like the accounting that falls to my shoulders, as well as all the package shipping and clerical bull**** AND the client accounts.

Anyway, That's enough of that, I'm sitting here trying not to walk and the more I talk about it the more I want to just get up and walk out. I will not walk out, I will not walk out.

tomorrow is my 9 month surgiversary

I recently picked up the Dessert Bullet on sale and tried it last night with some frozen fruit. OMG. My family loved it, and it was a low calorie treat. I'm glad I did this, i think that it will come in handy when the boys want a sweet treat during the summer. My co-worker was wondering how I would handle when my kid wanted Dairy Queen. Now at least I can give him unsweetened fruit mushed into ice cream. It was yummy. I'll be freezing some light and fit into cubes for myself too!
