What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Morning AV. I will echo your shout out. Cross addiction and alcohol addiction in general is no joke, and for Susan to step up and post about issues she is working through is so brave, and I really think much needed. Sometimes it takes one person to open up for others to see and understand that they have a problem. Love you OH peeps.
As for your QOTD, it's so funny that you ask this. Just about 3 weeks ago I found this new app for my phone called DuoLingo. It's a FREE app that teaches you to speak different languages. I've been working for a few weeks and I actually feel like I'm learning German. Die Katze ist shon. Sie essen die Apfel. Ich trinkt Wein. All of that from the top of my head, yo. I am definitely not fluent, and my hubby took German in high school and in college, so he's been using the app and we'll be practicing as we go as well. The app is completely free, and you can add friends and stuff, so if anyone wants to download and look me up, send a PM and I'll give you my email to search by.
My weekend was touch and go. Saturday was a bust menu wise. Ich trank zu viel Wein. Three glasses on saturday, and I ate BBQ at a smoke house. I did stick with smoked chicken so it wasn't so bad, but the wine though!
Reset and went to the gym this morning, my menu looks great for the day and I'm feeling good. Gym was all weight training this morning which felt good. my husband gets to go tomorrow morning, so I think I'm going to get up when he leaves and do Zumba in my family room. that is as long as my kiddo sleeps in.
9 month surgiversary is on Wednesday.

My protein is a little low and I'll likely add something as a snack tonight. I bought a Dessert Bullet the other day and have some frozen strawberries that I may just make into ice cream. I threw some yogurt in the freezer last night so I'll most likely do a light and fit with frozen strawberries to make some frozen yogurt. I haven't used the thing yet, but I'd like to steer my kids toward more healthy sweets, so we're going to try this. It was pretty inexpensive, so worth a try. If I don't like it, then I'll add it to the basement shelf with all of the other kitchen gadgets I don't use anymore. (I have an electric pressure cooker that is collecting dust down there)
Hey everyone. Best weekend ever. I keep saying that, but it keeps getting better.
Meeting all my fellow OHers was awesome! What a wonderful group of people. And exactly what I expected too, right down to Cynthia's NY accent.
QOTD: I am a very cunning linguist. I don't actually speak any other languages, though I had to pass French and German translation exams back in grad school.
