What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning Everyone!
We have SUN, glorious sun, today! YAY! Hoping to take the dogs for a walk today. We tried to take them yesterday, but poor Blossom got as far as the Doberman's house and refused to go any further. She's still traumatized from being chased by the Dobie. Fearless Tippy, the Chihuahua strutted all the way, no problem.
What I ate yesterday was: Protein shake, Chicken breast (must have eaten it too fast because it came back up), mission tech protein bar, chili, Atkin's snack bar, string cheese sticks. Today will probably be similar.
Have a wonderful day everybody and I hope the sun is shining where you live!

Sorry about the chicken breast... My advice is to take a few days off from trying it again. You have a better chance of tolerating it if you don't have it again within a few days of throwing up.

yay for sunshine indeed! And bummer that Blossom is now fearful, but I get it, can you take a different route? Poor thing. Well at least Tippy has got her back right! LOL
And crap on the chicken breast. I remember when I was first post op and started eating the dense proteins, as per my centre they suggested cutting up the meat to the size of your baby finger nail, and then use lots of "sauces", like gravy, ketchup, spaghetti sauce etc. And chew until basically its water in your mouth (sorry for the graphics), but like JB said, wait a few days that try it again, one of these days it will work, trust us.

QOTD: I took 4 years of high school German and have luckily gotten to go there twice in my life. My moms ancestors are from there. I can speak it conversationally but have forgotten most of it. I also took one year in Fren*****ollege. I only know some basic phrases now. In college I was a voice major so learned to sing in about 7 different languages, including Russian which was totally cool.
Well the 5k was yesterday. After the first 30 second I realized this was not going to go like I planned. The course was uphill along the river for the first mile (basically a fast hike) and the second mile was running/fast walking through the vines, in mud since it had stormed the night before. The last mile was that pic below, all muddy ground except the last bit. People were sliding everywhere and it was crazy. So needless to say, my time was not at all what I was expecting due to this. BUT it was gorgeous!
And the scale moved 2 pounds !
Eats for today:
B: 1/2 advanced protein bar GNC (I bought a %$% ton of these when they were 90% off and didn't get to eat them for one reason or another so now i need to eat them before they expire. ok technically some have but I'm going to eat it anyway.
S: maybe the other 1/2
L: chicken or ribs or turkey lasagna
D: not sure one of the above
