What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning from rainy Syracuse! I had a glorious solo weekend and I'm so sad to see it end. I love my husband and son and all, but... LOL
I don't know if you guys saw her post, but I just want to give a shout out to our fellow menu poster Susan (3Bassethounds) for her honesty and for sharing her story. Addiction is real and scary and it takes ******g guts to admit it. This OH community is the best, for real.
QOTD! Do you speak another language? If you don't, is there a language you wish you could speak? I was watching the Food Network pretty much all weekend and there was a show where Giada DiiWhatever was in Italy. I knew she was Italian but hearing her speak it was fascinating to me. I took French in high school so I can understand a little, but that's about it. Although whenever I watch a French language movie with subtitles, I can convince myself that I'm fluent. LOL

You guys, I'm seriously having an amazing little mini-vacation with Grim in DC.
First, have I mentioned lately how lucky I am to have found him? He's pretty damn great. Just sayin'. Second, I got to see lots of family and friends that I love to pieces and had really been missing. And last...HELLO! OH meet up in DC! Here is a pic--in height order, of: Grim, NYmom, DCgirl, Nerdy Girl and me! Such fun to be together, share war stories and catch up in person. We should all be doing this kind of meet up more often, when possible. It's gold.
Second pic is me on a run in DC yesterday morning.
QOTD: nothing fluent, but a little French, a little Latin and a little Amheric (long story).
We leave DC tonight at 4pm and arrive at midnight-i**** will make for a cranky crappy day tomorrow but worth it for another day here. We haven't talked meals... All I know is breakfast is protein coffee and BACON!

That was so fun to hang out and chat and have dinner :) Thanks for making the time, and I am glad you guys chose a departure time for today!
Safe travels!

LOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEE your DC meet up pic, so awesome!! Go glad you all had a great time, that's a great looking group there!!
So thrilled you and Grim are having such a great time away, I just want to put it out there that I want to be invited to the wedding LOL
Sound like a great mini break and that you got to meet with all your family and friends, that's so energizing to the soul right!
And you are right, we should pick a date/time and place and put it out there to OH menu land that there will be a meet up and if people can make it great, if not then next time, you might be on to something girl!!
I love your pic of you out for your run with the monument behind you, good for you for getting your run in on vacay! You look awesome!
I have to admit I had to google Amharic, that I have never heard of, but that is super cool!!
Coffee & bacon, what more could you ask for LOL LOL
You are a much stronger person than me to get home at midnight and go to work the next day, you are a trooper!!
Safe travels my friends!
